That a woman should not be president? She would be in charge over men, so isn't that going agaisnt what the bible tells us? I understand the 2/3 vote, but is there any other scenarios that no one could "veto" what she would "order" to be done?

Well, I'm Catholic, so I don't know if you value my opinion or not :-) but I know that God created man and woman equal, but for different things. A woman, I don't think, is really fit to be president because God made her more emotional and sensitive than a man.

*sigh* The right woman would be a fine president (Lord knows we can't do any worse than we have).
If you are a Christian you should know better than to twist scripture and take it out of context. The context you are referring to is within the Church.
BTW: last May Bush signed a new Presidential Powers Act into law. No one heard much about it but now if the President declares a state of emergency, he/she has total authority over all branches of government with no Congressional oversight. There are no limits to this authority.

i honestly think that if a woman were to be over America, we would lose what we still have, by the grace of God. Yeah the Bible says women are not to be over men, we may be able to do SOME things that men can do but no not to rule a nation and especially expect the men to actually obey them. I mean look how many woman have so many problems with just their own children listening. Do they actually think a nation will listen?!

Anyone who has truly read the bible knows that it states that woman are lesser beings and men should rule the world.
Timothy 1 2:11 Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. 2:12 But I suffer not a women to teach, nor usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. This is only one of many verses in the bible telling women how to act.
Husbands stand over wives and the wives should obey the husbands in ALL matters.
Keeping this in mind, how can you elect a woman president if you truly follow the bible and its teachings? Especially the old testaments teachings about the treatment of women?
And if you would elect her, then I must wonder if you TRULY follow the bible and its teachings.
Blessings,
Aviana

You mean like Bush uses his power as Commander and Chief to keep us in an Undeclared War? Of course she could! But would she? I doubt it.
For the "The Bible Says So Crowd" :
Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
And I am a Christian-not a gender.

well techincally a woman could be president even by jewish
standards...
the main crux of the male female thing is that men are the
head of the family and the church, not women.
there are a few verses in the O.T that specifically talk
about a woman doing other things other then house work.

The Bible explicitly states that Women are never to be placed above Men. More than once it says this. Christians who pick and choose what part of the Bible to observe and believe are Hypocrites.

Women have every right to become President and frankly, I think it's about time. Our country needs a strong woman who knows what she's doing. God would not want you to be sexist towards women and whatever he has planned in the future for us is probably the best. This is absolutely false.

Well according to the bible no Christian should be involved in politics or be a politician. Church history tells us the early Christians did not get involved in politics at all, but faiths that try to obey the bible and tell their followers not to get involved in politics are branded a cult.

Inclusivity leads to peace... That`s what Jesus told people at his time. He tryed to make all people equal. In his time, for example only men were invited on banquets. Slaves, women, children were not. So No it is not true.
