If so, how can you say that the Bible is a sacred book?
The guys that wrote it were just like you and me, ordinary human beings, living in a time of extreme ignorance and superstition and the Bible reflects that. God has never spoke to them like he has never spoke to you, because he does not exist outside your imagination, and what they wrote was the result of a very wild imagination with a flavour of ignorance.

Most likely. Who else would put all that sexism and discrimination against women in?

If you were to read the book of Mormon or the quran, you would see the ramblings of madmen. The Bible has a theme throughout, continuity, does not contradict itself (contrary to what some may attempt to prove), as well as is historically accurate, prophetically accurate and scientifically accurate.

There are some discrepancies in certain details, but this only proves that it was written by men who saw accounts from different perspectives - yet even in that, there is an "exact voice" which remains constant, even through versions and interpretations.

Unlike other religious texts, the Bible comprises of 66 books by over 40 authors, from different regions, cultures and eras. They all had different upbringings, educational levels and writing styles. There was also many, many years over which all these books were written. Yet, there is a following theme of man's condition, the plan of redemption and that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the Lord of all.

And, how would you know God has never spoken to me? Just because you can't wrap your head around the idea that God speaks to His people does not mean that He doesn't.

One day, you will hear His voice. I pray that in His mercy, that day will come before your days are over.

The Bible wasn't written by men silly! it's a sacred book revealed to the Prophet of Allah Jesus...so it's sacred.
Yet most believe that throughout the ages, man wanted to change their beliefs to fit the conditions of modern life. But we do believe that the Bible is a book of God.

if your in Japan they worship Him as a god.
and what some people call God has spoken to Me.
the light in which there is no darkness is a real place, i have been in that light, so yes i beleive some people call that light God. A god can be anyone with more power then you, such as an emperor, or the Don of an organized crime family.
And i have been called God cause of My writtings on the Good News Bible and the very words themselves.

read the bible and see why i thought think i am a God. remember it wasn't Me first who wrote about the Lamb SLAIN, but others did, i only figured it out that they could have been talking about Me cause i fit the description of Lamb and SLAIN, even though i still live and breath.

Men wrote the Bible by the inspiration of God.

God does not expect us to believe the Bible by blind faith.
God has given us several ways to know that the Bible is His words to us.

One way it that the Bible says that God promised to give us His Holy Spirit with gifts and power.

There are millions of people today that have His Spirit in them. Most of them speak with the gift of tongues, some have the gift of healing, or prophecy or miracles etc....

No, it was not written by MEN. Physically written and translated by man, but inspired by God. I believe our God has the ability to see that His Word is kept. He would not allow the whole world to be deceived.
Enjoy your imagination. Your stance allows you to not be responsible. That's a load off your shoulders. Here's hoping you will wise up sometime before it is all over.

The Bible was hand written by men who were chosen by God to write His word. Following His word has never failed me. It has helped me to become a better person as well as helped my marriage. Any one should rather follow God's word than take a chance on going to hell!

The Bible is known by technique of many to be the note of God. it is because the guidelines coach a achievable thanks to stay for the persons who needed those guidelines. If I knew a thanks to tutor all of us what to do, and my concept worked to cause them to prosper and live on between different peoples, i might want to call it the note of God, and be believed. The e book of Mormon is an party of an analogous theory and so are a lot of alternative non secular writings of diverse religions and various peoples. you acquire a subject matter with that?
