Trust me, I'll believe it when I see it. I know it'll be too late, but this "end time prophecy" is just plain laughable. So if you had to give a rough estimate, when do you think Jesus Christ is going to return, based on what you read in the Bible?

The Generation of the Fig Tree
Or
The Final Generation

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD,
that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread,
nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
It's getting late in the game because this generation, the one we're in now, has some gray hair. Christ returns at the end of this generation. Then, begins the Millennium / The Lord's Day.

To learn more about the final generation, let's go to the Word and read The Parable of the Fig Tree. Jesus, in Matthew 24:32-44, said:

I read something that was in the Commentary on the Jewish New Testament, the author said that there is a Jewish saying that there was to be 2000 years with out Torah (the law, Bible), 2000 years with the Torah, and 2000 years of Messiah.

The first 2000 years ended when Abraham started to preach.
The second 2000 years ended around 30 AD.

The Jews say that the Messiah has not come because of their sins (as far as they can see nothing happened around 30 AD that shows them the Messiah).

But for Christians and Messianic Jews, we know that was the time of the Crucifixion, death and Resurrection of Jesus.

So if we have our dating correct, the last 2000 years will end in 2030, and that means that the rapture and Great Tribulation will be in 2013.

No one knows when Christ will return. In the Bible it says that Christ will return at no given hour. It does he shall come as a theif in the night. We are to be prepared for the hour and day is not known. According to bible before his coming ....There will be great wars, famine , floods etc. Well those things are happening now...They also happened in the past as well. There have been many that have claimed to know the hour and day of Christs return. They have been proven wrong time and time again. Only Christ himself knows the hour and the day. We'll all just have to wait and see.

You'll believe it when you see it?

Haha >.<

Now THAT is laughable.

"Yeah, I'll believe trucks exist when I get hit by one."

Too late, hun.

Okay, enough bashing. Now for me being serious. In general, the now times seem like the end-times. Once everyone in the world either believes in the Bible, or they're like you are--skeptical and "unrighteous"-- that's the time when Jesus will come.

So... there's no telling, but as the person above me said, any minute now...

If you're looking for my opinion, versus what the Bible says, I think we've got another generation or so to go yet. Any time in the next 20 years. But that's just my guess, and it has nothing to do with the Bible.

Nobody believes it will happen in their life time, as a Christian I don't know only the Father knows, even the apostles believed that Jesus was talking about their time, it says their will be great technology, wars and roomers of wars, Nation will rise against nation, and every one will be against the Jews, so if you can read the signs of the times, we are in a good location right now, but I don't think we are quite their yet, it could go on for another thousand years. I hope you make it out alive and with G-D. You don't want to face the second death if your not saved. Good luck with your life.

First of all....if you read the bible..everything in it ,thus far has come true, thus making the bible TRUE.
Christ comes whenever he darn well pleases. He will come like a thief in the night, you will not know. Also we have lots to go through yet before this happens. We one day will be one with the States..States and Canada will be governed by one.We have to go through the process of many events first.don't believe it,when you read or hear about the world ending....not at this time....no one knows, but again...we have many things we have to go through first before this happens.

The buzz around "OMG THE WORLD IS GONNA END IN 2012!!!" Is just ridiculous. I don't believe in any of it. I'm agnostic, and no it's not because of the way I was raised, this is my OWN personal decision. I'll believe it when I see it too.

I like my facts. I'm not gonna believe whatever I read, nope nope nope.

When He's good and ready.
Considering the mess we've made of the planet, aren't you a teeny bit concerned?
