that's all well and good...however, where do you draw the line? and how, exactly, do you divorce your belief system from the rest of your life? and how are people of faith to interpret the teachings of their faith that tell them to go out and tell others, ie 'spread the good news?'...if people are to keep quiet, would that not cause them to be in defiance of their particular deity? i can only speak for myself as a Christian when i say, "no, i will NOT keep Christ to myself"...don't expect me to be knocking at your door or screaming at you on the street, or even e-mailing you, but i will NOT be silent...your question reminds me of a song from 'Jesus Christ Superstar'..."nothing can be done to stop their shouting, if every tongue were stilled the noise would still continue, the rocks and stones themselves would start to sing'

Well I guess another question would is it possible to keep our beliefs only for ourselves?
I think that is not possible. Let supposed that you believe that corn is really good, not only on taste but also nutrition wise, then you would be telling to everybody about it specially that people you love the most or even people that you are not closed with, i think as people we have learn to share, some seems like to do it in an extreme way.

I dont think the religious will allow that. Christians are supposed to bring it up all the time, at least thats what the churches iv been to say. I you dont spread the word you not doing your part. I dont agree with it but thats what they teach. Christians I know believe everyone in the entire world has a chance to hear about Juesus and what he did. How Is that possible?

I dunno...
It'd be awfully hard to keep all the joy I have as a Christian bottled up inside of me for eight hours a day...and now you want me to put it aside in my social life, too?
Ain't gonna happen.
Fortunately, almost every person I interact with socially is also a Christian.

No. Everyone is entitled to believe as they choose and debate their beliefs (which certain exceptions). However you are correct in that no-one should try to force their beliefs on anyone else.

Our beliefs will always affect our behavior.
Hopefully without reaching fanaticism.

So let me get this straight - if you knew the secret to eternal life you'd keep it to yourself?

Without our heavenly Father there would be no life, nothing.
Non-existence is that what you want, because you are not far from it.
