Why do some fundalmentalist think learning about evolution a form of religion?Even if evolution turns out true it doesn't mean god is not real.We CAN'T prove or disprove the existence of god.Don't forgot most christian holidays based on pagan beliefs(Easter,Christmas). Also during time of Jesus there were several other people claiming to be the messiah.Me personally I belief there is a possibility(not for sure) of a creative force in the universe, but don't believe it's some old beearded guy. To me a creator is the universe and life itself. My two cents

I mean, on what basis do people say this?
What are they reading?

I will not divulge my religion here, but everyone knows that Jesus did exist right?!?!

Whether he is God or not is another story, but on what basis do people say that Jesus never existed?

But Heaven and Hell are no joke. What do you know about Heaven? What do you wish you didn't know about Hell?

I am not a religious zealot, running around in your face dancing with snakes and all that, so why do so many people get angry when I make a comment about my belief in God? I don't tell you who to believe in.

no offence please. There are lots of word in English to express positive association with some one. We can say, freindship, sympathy, mercy, association, attachment and many more. Why is that christians only uses the word "LOVE"? where as this is a general word which can even include meaning of "love making", fornication, adultery etc.
Love thy neighbour
I love Osama
Jesus loves Osama
I Love Jesus
God is Love
Jesus Loves us.

etc. etc..

I'm not LDS but I have had a few friends that are. I didn't know until I knew them that when 2 LDS people get engaged, they are supposed to get married at the temple and that, from my understanding, guests are not allowed.

I was just curious why guests are not allowed? Also, I heard that in an LDS wedding the ceremony isn't anything like a regular wedding. Is this correct? Please understand I am not judging the religion. I'm just curious. :)

Also 2 of my LDS friends chose to go to Salt Lake City to get married in the temple there. Is it considered better to get married there, or is it just as okay to get married at another temple?

Once again, I'm NOT one of the people that come on here and try to insult your religion. I'm not judging you. I just am curious about the differences between LDS things and my own Christian beliefs.

Thanks! :)

My good friend is an Orthodox Jew, and I really like him, and I think the attraction is at least somewhat mutual. He's very religious, as far as I can tell, and follows all the rules, so would we even be allowed to date? If so, could we ever do more than kiss?

What do you believe is more important? Saving lives? Or not engaging in homosexual sex?

I ask this question to see which you value more. Saving 1 person, or saving millions of persons.

Is it "ok" for atheists to like paranormal stuff? Am I alone in this? Though the only prerequisite for atheist is no deity belief...

I mean I've always loved it...all the spooky ghosty stuff, no matter if it's real or not. Although were it real I don't look at it the same way that religious people do.

Being that it's now Halloween where I am, I thought I'd go ahead and ask. So am I a lone weirdo who's into it?

And what significance does this prayer have in your life?

The Prayer of Jabez:
"Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause you pain!" (1 Chronicles 4:9-10)

What if when you die what ever you expect isn't so. Example if you are Atheisit and there is a heaven and God. Or you're Catholic and you find it's Allah. These are just examples. I myself believe in God. Just not sure which one is real, and I don't really think I ever can untill judgement day. Just gonna live a good life and have faith:)

Bible-fundies encourage personal interpretation of the Bible which resulted to many sects with different beliefs and interpretations, which also resulted to many confusions. they can't even agree among themselves about what interpretation is right.

so what happened to the "The Church should be ONE" that the Bible said?

I have been a Christian all of my life, but recently I have been wondering about the Bible. Now I am not sure if I believe in God or not. The first question:

1. If Adam and Eve were the first people and they had children, the children would have had to have sex with each other. And isn't incest a sin?

2. Why would such a "loving" god kill many people?
Don't just say to teach them a lesson, there are better, more logical answers.

3. What does praying ever do? I never see my prayers put into action by God (These are not selfish prayers either) And how can reading the Bible help me with my problems? Reading something that someone said hundreds of years ago with their knowledge can't possibly help me this year.

4. If God is so loving, then why does my dad have prostate cancer? I don't understand this at all. Free will has nothing to do with this. He had no symptoms beforehand.

Please help me understand these questions so I can get a better insight to life?
