is God real?
some people say it is something to believe in for the ones who are weak and scared and dumb...
for the ones who need something to trust and have faith in because they are scared of the after life
it says that it is a sin to kill steal robbery and adultrey sound like today's laws are we sure the bible wasnt a law book
the bible says you cant be gay but you are born that way lol why would sombody choose it anyway and why is God so forgiving but people who are gay cant change there minds lol screwed before they are alive
God says we cant say there are gods and every other religion is wrong does this mean religion was power and the pope wanted power so he translated the ancient law book and added these extra lines so the scared and dumb could follow him and give him power it is like 2day the leaders used to scre people for them, to follow them maybe the pope did the same? he wanted followers do he scared them told them they would burn for eternity if they dont

All these arguments about "It is the Mother's Body, Oh it is her body" seem pretty absurd when applied to the New Born. Yet when it comes to the unborn baby, many accept them as logical.

This type of schitzophrenic argumentation really can drive a person insane.

A child is dependent upon it's mother. Does that mean the woman has the power of life and death over it? Does the woman have the right to exercise the power of death?

My brother is bringing his girlfriend home and she has 3 kids and they are Jehovas Witness... so they don't celebrate Christmas. I don't mind her religon... but I'm not going out of my way to take out all the tree and not decorate the house. This will also be the first Christmas for my newborn and I want it to be really special. Is this a bad time for us to meet? Should I buy her a present anyways... I'm a little confused. Are there any Jehovas Witness out there who can help me out?

Jesus never ate meat treated with hormones or antibiotics. He never ate anything sprayed with pesticides. He never ate white flour, white sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated vegetable oil, artificial sweeteners, or fake fats. Why do Christians eat these things?

I skipped it when we were going around praying for people. It was during our on campus ministry meeting. When I was listening to everyone else I realized that I don't pray like they do. They are all formla about it and everything. I was also raised with the idea that praying is a personal thing and I find it very difficult to pray outloud with others around. I felt so bad afterwards because I think I hurt some peoples feelings. I just don't know what to do when we have our next meeting tomorrow and do the same thing. Should I just keep skipping myself or what should I do?

since Jesus didn't ascend to Heaven right after He died, what happened to His promise to the thief, "TODAY you shall be with me in Paradise"?

Jesus was dead for three days before he ressurected, so where was the thief all those times while Jesus was dead for three days, when Jesus promise the thief that at that very day, when He and the thief are hanging on the cross, that the thief will be with Him in Paradise?

this is an honest question. please think before answering. thanks.

Put aside the politics and the minor percentages of babies that are aborted as a result of rape or incest. We are unique in that we not only allow it, but we celebrate the murder of these little innocents by calling it fuzzy words like, "choice" or autonomy.

Matthew 13:24-30
He put another parable before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, 'Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?' He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' So the servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?' But he said, 'No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.'"

A man is DECEIVED if he is a hearer and not a doer of the Word (Jam_1:22).
A man is DECEIVED if he says that he has no sin (1Jo_1:8).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks himself to be something when he is nothing (Gal_6:3).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks himself to be wise with worldly wisdom (1Co_3:18).
A man is DECEIVED when he seems to be religious and does not bridle his tongue (Jam_1:26).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks that he will not reap what he sows (Gal_6:7).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks that evil company will not corrupt good morals (1Co_15:33).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks that the unrighteous will inherit the kingdom of God (heaven) (1Co_6:9).
Now Satan will try to DECEIVE you to not pay attention to the above. Will you let him?

I am a believer, but not in unbalanced dualism, which is mostly cultural or temporal anyway. Today's virtue is tomorrow's blasphemy and versa as well as cross cultural inversions. I believe the Creator therefore to be the source of all polar opposites in equal measure although my observations cause me to favour the feminine over the masculine as the larger cosmic force.

That is a pretty unusual title for an article that is designed to uphold the Christian faith. Why would we ever want to know the devil? Because we will never overcome him unless we know something of his sinister purposes, his devious tactics and his universal influence.
George C. Scott portrayed George Patton in the film biography of the World War II general's career. There is a scene in which Scott as Patton reflects on the defeat of the German field Marshall, Erwin Rommel. He said something like, "Rommel, I read your book."
We have to read the book on our enemy, the devil. Among the things we need to know about him are the following:
1. He controls people. He has even been able to control people who walked in the physical presence of Jesus. Near the end of our Lord's earthly ministry, he predicted His own death. Peter resisted the thought that such a thing could happen. Even with the passing of nearly 20 centuries, Jesus' reaction to Peter is a shock. "Out of my sight, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men" (Mat_16:23).
2. He lies. He is the father of lies (Joh_8:44) and he "masquerades as an angel of light" (2Co_11:14). He can start with a premise or a practice that is clearly the opposite of what God wants and put a spin on it that makes it sound like you have God's backing for the most evil deeds imaginable.
3. He has universal influence. In Job 1, God asked Satan where he had been. In arrogance Satan shot back, "Ranging over the earth from end to end" (NEB). You cannot go anywhere on this planet where Satan does not go.
This is not said to make you paranoid about Satan, but so that you might be better prepared to resist the devil and force him to flee from you.
