some people say it is something to believe in for the ones who are weak and scared and dumb...
for the ones who need something to trust and have faith in because they are scared of the after life
it says that it is a sin to kill steal robbery and adultrey sound like today's laws are we sure the bible wasnt a law book
the bible says you cant be gay but you are born that way lol why would sombody choose it anyway and why is God so forgiving but people who are gay cant change there minds lol screwed before they are alive
God says we cant say there are gods and every other religion is wrong does this mean religion was power and the pope wanted power so he translated the ancient law book and added these extra lines so the scared and dumb could follow him and give him power it is like 2day the leaders used to scre people for them, to follow them maybe the pope did the same? he wanted followers do he scared them told them they would burn for eternity if they dont

You pose a few interesting points but its all a frame of mind. You speak of the "ones who are weak and scared and dumb...
for the ones who need something to trust and have faith in because they are scared of the after life". These people that you trash on actually believe in something. Its the same something that has existed since LONG before Christ. Atheists chose to believe in NOTHING because its easier, and a large group of them admit that they believe in nothing because they feel that ignorance is bliss and if they chose the low road then they can't be judged for it later on, should there be a later on... Its a frame of mind and the believers are no crazier than the atheists, its just an opinion.

Science has not clearly proven that Gay is anything more than a propensity to ignore the natural struggle of the mind to accept more than just the animalistic behaviors of two people. Gays chose to be so. They chose to stick with same sex partners because they understand them better, but in a believing world, that makes it wrong.

The words in the bible say pretty clearly that there is ONLY 1 God. The funny thing about it is that most of the religions that believe in God, believe in the same one but claim that He is different because they think they are the only right religion. Its funny how many people can be only partially right and still think they are COMPLETELY right. The scriptures lay that out pretty clearly too but it seems to slip some people. Apparently English is hard to embrace.

Yes, there have been many that have used faith as a tool to herd and coerce people into believing what was said over the pulpit. Shame that lots of them didn't really believe and practice what they preached...

yes, jon, you have to wade through all kinds of nonsense and silliness in your discovery of your own relationship with the spiritual world. you are right that organized religion has been tainted by politics and other frailties of humanity.
feel free to question the definition of sin and whom the bible was intended to address. the law in it were not meant for everyone, but for ancient israel at a certain period of time, and the way that christianity has turned sin into a way to control people is sick.
but the spiritual side of life is as fundamental as the physical, emotional and mental sides, and a rich spiritual life can greatly enhance one's life as a whole.
