Who said it had to come from somewhere?
If you really want an answer to this, look up String theory, or M-theory as it is now called.

Matter has always existed.
It has grown, developed, changed in many ways--but matter and energy are infinite. Matter/energy don't have a creator because matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed. That's one of the fundamental laws of matter--you can't create something from nothing.
Let's go back to your way of thinking, though--if there was no matter or energy, how could God have ever existed? Shouldn't God be a form of energy? Wouldn't he have matter? If he was the creator of matter, then one could assume there was NO matter before God came along. But if there was no matter before God came along, how on earth could there be a God, if God is consisted of matter?

unfortunately, this come around to, if God created Matter along with everything else, then what about God? If you say he has no beginning and no end, then how do you know that theoretically? Chances are, no body has the answer. there is always too much gaps in science and no way to know the answer.

If there is a God, where did it come from? I am atheist/agnostic, meaning that I do not think that any sort of divinity exists but I know that if there WAS some form of divinity, humanity would never understand it. There is no way to prove that there is a god nor is there a way to prove that there is not a god.

Matter and energy came from the big bang. Study science and soon you will understand.
God came from Man's imagination.

if there is a god where did it come from?
actually, the real answer is the Flying Spaghetti Monster. and it is impossible to know where He came from, since He spends much of his time tampering with data as He sees fit.

If God made matter, where did God come from?
If you believe that God has always existed, why can't matter have always existed.

Didn't you know, an imaginary being in the sky created it.
Or it could have been caused by the "Big Bang" like most scientists claim.
Take your pick..

just as there is no source proved as to where the gods came from only theories exist for matter as well but they are supported in ways of math and extrapolated thought from facts we know . http://www.colorado.edu/philosophy/vstenger/Godless/Origin.pdf
