What if when you die what ever you expect isn't so. Example if you are Atheisit and there is a heaven and God. Or you're Catholic and you find it's Allah. These are just examples. I myself believe in God. Just not sure which one is real, and I don't really think I ever can untill judgement day. Just gonna live a good life and have faith:)

Wow I'm not trying to stradle the fence but HONESTLY I have know way of knowing untill the day I die. But that's not gonna stop me from being a good person, or good father. When I say I believe in God it's not out of fear of what if, it's more out of a feeling of having God around. I don't want to aggrevate anyone further. sorry about the misunderstanding all.

I truly believe in God with all my heart. This is my right. You have the right to believe however you wish. I would be shocked to find out that there was no afterlife, but at that point what could you do. I don't think that I would consider my life a waste because I lived it believing in God though. My belief in God gives me strength to live and compassion for others. You believe and live how you feel you should, what others think shouldn't matter. If you look within you will find the truth.

Well there's a problem with your theory, when you die you will not find out anything because you will not be conscious to be able to find out(Ecclesiastes9:5)
5 For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten.

I don't believe in God or any kind of afterlife. But if I'm wrong and I end up face to face with God after death, then I wouldn't grovel or beg for his acceptance. I would tell him, as plainly and clearly as I could, why I didn't believe in him (basically because of the lack of evidence) and why I lived my life as I did, and then God can do what he wishes with me. I probably wouldn't have much power to stop or persuade him. If I got sent to hell or some such place, I really would resent God because I don't think I deserve a worse fate than the life I already have. Perhaps I would try to organize some type of resistance with my hell mates so that we could escape our damnation and storm the gates of heaven.

God is Everything or God is Nothing....

Whatever perception one has of the Divine is genuine as long as it leads that individual to a closer contact and relationship with the creator.

Simple....and everyone wants to fight and bicker about who is right or wrong........

Blessed Be!

Considering the piles of evidence against the existence of any god or gods, I try not to think about it. For, if I do believe that I will one day be judged for all my actions then I would live a life in fear. And I dont' want to spend my ONE life in fear.

Yeah, yeah -- Pascal asked that question centuries ago.

Search the internet for "Pascal's Wager" to find out why it is an uninteresting question.

If it's not black, does it make it white?

If you keep the faith in love, forgiveness and compassion (humanity), you're less inclined to get stuck in religion (humanity interpreted).

There's not much more than the fact that you'd be wrong. A good god would be forgiving if you believed in another god so it doesn't really matter, does it?

I cannot speak for everybody, but I don't think Allah choose that kind of prophet to write the koran. Nine wifes and the youngest one is nine yrs old.
