Surely more people feel this way. Are there any organized groups or associations that actively "preach" this idea?

I had heard about ten years ago or more that Jesus was expected to return just after the millenium. How many people are expecting him to return in their own lifetime and if he doesn't return, will you still have as much faith in him while you are laying in your death bed?

when it clearly states in every book that no one should attach themselves to so called hinduism ?

Its explained in the VEDAS that no one should attach themselves to it, even the word HINDU is given by the arab invaders,

It never asks us to seperate ourselves by giving the teaching a name for it, it teaches us to be human ?

I mean attaching yourself to a certain section of community only causes separation

Im a hindu but im not a hindu for others

I was talking to someone at a science church here my neighborhood and she mentioned a very good point.

Why is it that when people are 'gifted' with some sort of ESP (telepathy, clairvoyance, etc.) that it scares them to death even mention it to their desendents who inherited it from them?

war and the murder of innocent civilians?

No where in the Gospel can I find where Jesus justified war or murder. He did say a lot against it though.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.

You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'[g] 39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. 41If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor[h] and hate your enemy.' 44But I tell you: Love your enemies[i] and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father

Can you really say you have free will?
Are not some things detirmined?

You certainly can't choose intelligence, or we'd all choose to be geniouses who don't have to study to get A's.

You can't choose your preferences, (I like chocolate ice cream, I can't make vanilla taste better to me...)

I will concede that we have choices, but those choices are detirmined by our brains, and our brains are a function of our entire life at the point we make the choice....so it's already primed for a particular choice...it just hasn't been made yet.

Can anyone give me a better definition of free will? and/or can anyone argue that any of this is not sound? I'd love to hear from you, thanks...

Late one night at the insane asylum, one inmate shouted, "I am Napoleon!"

Another patient asked, "How do you know?"

The first inmate said, "Because God told me!"

Just then, a voice from another room shouted, "I did NOT!"

;-) Just a little joke to make you smile.

Hello.. :)

Why must we continue to report abuse..

Have you ever gotten to know the people, you are reporting?

Have you ever taken the time, to chat with them?

Have you set the example, of forgiving one another?

Or are you just letting your difference in beliefs control your heart?

The above is said with ~Love~ but sadness in my heart.. :(

With ~Love~ your "Friend" In Christ.. :)

It has become standard on R&S to ridicule the intelligence of people who believe things that strain your credulity. But Michael Shermer, founding editor of Skeptic Magazine, makes an interesting point: the smarter you are, the more elaborately you can justify a false belief.

What do you think?

Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing that He who has begun in you a good work will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus

Please take the time to share how this verse ministers to your heart now or in the past. How the assurance of what the Lord has given us brings you out and through some tough times of doubt or struggle that a situation will never change or you'll never overcome a personal mountain.

Ty for taking the time again to give of yourself in this way for the benefit of your brothers and sisters in Christ..

" The body builds itself up in Love"

Your sister
