Hi! I totally agree with you. The act of reporting someone is immature, it is no the way adults behave, people are allowed 2 have their own opinions, isn't that what this site is all about.
eyelovesjesus and I know eachother through YA, we get along and talk even though we sit on opposite sides of the fence, I would not dream of reporting her for her views or anyone else for that matter, it all comes down to how mature you are in handling points that you find offensive. those that report out of spite should grow up! or leave!
edit: have you not noticed that everyone now adds " I do not wish to offend" to the end of every question, for they are expecting to be reported, this is a sad fact, for how do we learn from eachother if we can't speak our minds and if someone does act offensive, we should just move on to the next question, or give them our view in response.

Small-minded people who feel threatened by the opinions of others will always seek a way to silence them. In the world of Yahoo! Answers, that means itchy trigger fingers poised over the report buttons.
Thankfully, those who are deleted can come right back, although I know it hurts a bit to lose an account (I've been there).
What some people don't realize is that, by trying to silence others, they are encouraged to speak louder, and with more conviction.
Hope you are having a lovely morning. (((((((ELJ)))))))

If you' relied on' them, (I regard the phrase 'believe' as an overly severe state), you then absolutely considered them very extremely. When they destroyed that believe, there treachery rather mattered and it harm. It harm such a lot that you just rather certainly not believed that it would occur, and it is very complex to ever put out of your mind it. You can nonetheless in time forgive the pal for being so bloody dull, however you are going to certainly not put out of your mind the incident. If after this, that pal ever once more make the identical idiotic mistake, then no longer most effective might the friendship be terminated, however you might doubt your possess judgment for ever forgiving the sod. The average movement might be to overcome his head in, however this movement is frowned upon in a lawful society, and also you might certainly not get the stain out of the carpet. This makes one very wary.

Many in R&S have been reported and deleted.
Some people seem to enjoy reporting and getting others deleted.

The only time I reported someone was when he sent me the most crudest email and told me I was going to hell, I did not mean for him to get his account deleted, I didn't know that would happen

The people who report like that really don't care. I wouldn't worry about it, if I were you... Bite Me will return with another name and the whole thing will begin again. =)

Reporting is essentially pointless. So much work to get an account deleted, so easy to create a new one.

I don't think she really cared. It's pretty easy to make a new account.
