A lot of human history goes back a couple ten-thousand years. When we talk about civilizations that don't go further than 4000 BC, creationists trust those findings. It just seems like 6000 is not really a special number.

Jewish Ruling concerning Islam :

[36] Maimonides, Responsa, 448

The Muslims [Ishmaelim] are not in any way idolators. [Idolatry] has already been removed from their mouths and their hearts, and they unify G-d in the appropriate manner without any admixture [of idolatrous beliefs].

First let me state that I am a straight Christian mother who is looking for change in the Christian community. I have many gay/lesbian friends who I love with all of my heart. It brings me to tears every time I see one of my Christian brothers or sisters using our Lord to spread their own ignorance. I am sickened by Christians who carry signs that say things like God hates fags, and Fags will burn in hell. Who are we to say? Who are we to even judge? What makes me laugh is that even after all we know about the way the human body works and how we develop, people still believe there is a choice in sexuality. The Bible is a wonderful book but we Christians so often forget it was written in a time where we knew little to nothing about our bodies or why certain things happen, back then people thought it was a choice to be gay rather than the way a person is born. We now know one can not choose their sexuality any more than one can choose their skin color, but we as Christians still

Prominent creation scientist Em Adjineri has been examining creation stories, and has discovered a creation story from one of the non-canonical gospels.

According to The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the FSM created the Universe in seven days. Since the Bible said that God created the universe in seven days, the Gospel of the FSM must be using the FSM as a metaphor for the Abrahamic God.

God (in the form of the FSM) made and hid dinosaur fossils in the ground. Anytime we try to use radiometric dating to determine the age of those fossils, the FSM changes the results with his noodly appendage.

The Gospel of the FSM proves that evolution is false, because it explains exactly how the dinosaur fossils got into the ground, and why it seems like they're so much older than 6,000 years.

People might say that the FSM Gospel is non-canonical, but none of them can use DNA to prove that Jesus is not really the son of the FSM. Therefore, evolution is false!

His throne was a fiery flame,....................Daniel 7:9.
WHERE HAVE I HEARD THIS DISCRIPTION OF GOD QUOTED FROM?

Revelation 1:13-14 says One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire.

Do you have an alter ego? AND how do your two personalities compare??

Seriously... and this question is especially for my L.D.S. contacts (that is why it is in R&S), but open to all.

Anyways, to answer my own Q. I do! It's a sort of release for me. I have lots of issues I need to deal with, and my "alter ego" is how I do it. I know... I'm psychotic! But at least I know it darling! ;o)

required to have training and be fluent in all biblical languages and hermeneutics? If not, is that because they believe that the translations of Scripture are thoroughly reliable and that literary genres and history have no consequences on interpretation and understanding? What is the impact of uneducated ministers relying on their own reason for interpretation? Could this be why there are so many schisms in the body of Christ?

Where we(humanity) came from, or where we are going.

Please expand, because I have left this very open to interpretation.

prayer is us talking to God while meditation is us being quiet and still and giving Him time to talk to us...either directly, or through angels or spirit guides.

People use scientific evidence all the time to try to prove God's existence. But they ones who are actually dedicated to that field of study are often, not always, nonbelievers. Why is that?
