Let me see, allowing a baby to be born and loved by an adopting couple, or brutally murdering an unborn baby while in the place that should be the safest place they could be. I choose pro choice as being the most brutal.

This is why they invented condoms.
They both suck.
My mom said that before she became pregnant with me, she always believed she'd get an abortion were she to get pregnant. But she met me in a dream before she even knew she was pregnant and became attached to me. So she didn't do it. There have been many times in my life when I wished she had.
I've not had much of a bad life, I live in one of the most prosperous nations on the planet. I just know that I would rather be dead than have to suffer through this life sometimes, especially when my existence means someone else will get less food, that more irreplaceable habitat will be cut down, more pollutants spewed into the air.
I think pro-choice can be a quick death, whereas pro-life can be a slow torture. I also think we need to stop reproducing as rapidly.
I certainly don't think that the people who have had six kids and can afford to feed, clothe, and even send them all to college should be telling the poor single mother who can barely make it by as it is that she MUST give birth to a child. It isn't fair to the mother, and it isn't fair to the child. Especially if the family with six kids isn't willing to adopt the child of the single mother.
If you are set on making sure these kids are born, then you better be willing to accept the burden of them.
Quality, not quantity.

Well, think about it- killing your baby or letting it live
its human nature (and the natural law) to let your baby live (no matter what the circumstances) and to protect it. Its actually a very simple question. If you don't believe me, just goto google images and type in "abortion" or even Youtube.com
It is NOT a clump of cells. At 18 to 22 days, the heart is beating, at 33-40 days there are brainwaves! YOu cannot say that a BABY is just a clump of cells. If you think that, then your just a clump of cells, and not a very smart one. People NEED to be educated about this. I know 9 people that were going to have abortions because the doctor said that their baby was going to be retarded, and guess what!? They didn't have the abortion and their baby was fine!!!!! There are over 30,000 families today in America waiting to adopt a baby-regardless of his/her health! So how could you, as a former fetus, allow this silent holocaust happen, when you know that those babies are being KILLED and they can't scream for their mama to not have the doctor take their life?

I'm a single mother and definitely pro-choice. Having a child changed my hormones so that I'm actually a happier individual capable of making sensible decisions (maybe it's b/c I became an atheist, actually)
Pro-life is a misnomer. It does not take into consideration the one 'life' that is involved. It argues for a clump of cells that may or may not develop correctly and disregards the quality of the life of the individual that's become pregnant..

Pro choice does not mean that the choice is alway abortion. It means the mother has the choice...not someone dictating to her. Therefore Pro Life is barbaric because it's keeping a person from doing what is right for herself.

Just because someone is pro-life doesn't mean that they want babies to live in poverty and squallor and just because someone is pro-choice does not mean that they will always choose abortion.
Abortion makes me very sad. But I know that there are situations, like rape, where it would be barbaric to make a women go through with that pregnancy and remembering her attack everytime she sees her pregnant belly. As for the child...would you want to live your life knowing that you are a result of a burtal sex crime? Knowing that your mother got rid of you because you brought about horrible memories?
Pro-choice will not always end in abortion (my cousin is proof of this), pro-choice lets the woman decide. Pro-life says "who cares about what you think" and takes away a woman's right to her body. In that sense alone, I say pro-life.

Are either of those more barbaric than these verses from psalm 137
7 Remember, O LORD, what the Edomites did
on the day Jerusalem fell.
"Tear it down," they cried,
"tear it down to its foundations!"
8 O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is he who repays you
for what you have done to us-
9 he who seizes your infants
and dashes them against the rocks.
Note that Psalm 137 is one of the most popular psalms among the Christians.

I go with the science available currently on this. That is, in the first trimester, it has no consciousness and is only a collection of cells. Considering that about 70% of pregnancies self-terminate, that should say that abortion is no more murder than miscarriage should be considered suicide.

Pro-life. What if-A young women was raped and was to scared to tell anyone. Lets say her parents are pro-life. The baby looks like the guy who raped her. I read that in some cases the woman would try to kill herself.
Its a choice, that "god" wants people to have free will. So why take it away?
Max-People shouldn't kill a baby because there is a chance of a mental disability. People can overcome those.

Pro Choice is barbaric. Pro Life is not at all. Pro Choice selfish, as it only considers the woman carrying the baby and ultimately takes life and all opportunity away from that child. Pro Life gives the child a chance at life. Pro Life doesn't mean that the mother has to keep the child.

pro-life
making a woman give birth to a child born out of a rape is barbaric
making a woman go through with a pregnancy that has a high likleyhood to cause her death is barbaric
restricting the rights of the woman and her body, is barbaric
im not for abortion, i think its wrong, but i think that woman should have the choice, its their life, not mine, and it effects me in no way, so why should i try to controll what someone else does if it doesnt hurt me?
edit: Oh and i forgot to mention, have people already forgotten the age of back alley abortions? coat hangers and broom sticks in order to rid themselves of the baby. Do you not think that it wont come back? By getting rid of a safe place, you put these people in the hands of black market abortion clinics that are not regulated and could kill the mother due to unsafe standards or practices. It just makes sense to keep them for the safety of the women. People who are pro-life are selfish. You dont have to have an abortion, thats your choice, but between a safe governmetn regulated clinic, or a dark alley and a coat hanger...id chose the clinic anyday, and women should have that right. Quit being selfish, let these women have their abortions in a safe environment, sure the kid dies, but at least the mother wont.
