In God's existence, your doctrines--especially your doctrines!--the Bible, and the afterlife.

In philosophy, it's a pretty well-known topic that true knowledge cannot arguably exist, beyond analytical truths or a priori knowledge (IF a priori knowledge exists as synthetic truth).

Don't worry: for those of you who say "I", you're not under any sort of attack. This is a simply a gauge of intellectual honesty and/or credulity. If you answer to say that you do not in fact have 100% certainty, then I'll take you to be being honest. If you answer that you do in fact have 100% certainty, I'll either take you to be lying to secure your position, or simply not understanding what I'm asking.

People say that DNA testing has proven the Book of Mormon to be false, because it shows that the Native American Indians are not descended from the Jews. But, wouldn't you need the DNA of the people who you are comparing DNA with? For example, to know if today's Native American Indians are descended from the Lamanites, you would need the DNA of the Lamanites from the end of the Book of Mormon. And even then, nothing will be conclusive, since many centuries have passed and DNA gets "diluted" or "evolved" or whatever.

Do they have a right to kill their children?

This is effectively what they do when they deny access to antibiotics preferring instead to pray for their children? I personally believe in liberty but should parents be allowed to let their children die because of their personal beliefs? Isn't that murder through neglect?

In my last question, regarding intelligent design, one answerer asked me to give him an example of order happening on its own. To quote:

"Everyday we have to spend time and energy to look our best, clean our houses and cars, take out the trash, pull the weeds out, mow the lawn etc.

From my experience order is not the natural state of things, only disorder. "

Your thoughts? Science buffs, preferably? lol

Are the Pagan religions the biggest threat to American Christianity? The number of Pagans in America seems to be growing. The Pagan religions are becoming more excepted. And Christians seem to have a constant need to label all Pagan religions as Satanists. Also breeding ignorance towards the Pagan religions. Is this proof that Christianity is threatened by the Pagan religions? perhaps they see the Pagan religions as having the potential of becoming the major religions of America? be nice with the answers... this is a simple question noone needs to attack like rabid dogs with this.

Did you guys hear about the new book that's coming out with a collection of letter Mother Theresa wrote over the past 50 years?

I read some previews in Time magazine, they had an advance copy of the book.

Turns out, Mother Theresa didn't really believe in God or prayer or any of that other stuff.

In the letters to her confidant, she often wrote about the darkness in her heart and mind, the total lack of any sense that there's a God out there, she referred to Jesus as the "Absent One" because she never felt his presence, she felt that her quest for souls was a waste of time, that heaven was a lie, that she was a hypocrite for talking about faith and God in public, and her letters revealed that she hadn't prayed in years because she felt it was a pointless waste of time.
