In my last question, regarding intelligent design, one answerer asked me to give him an example of order happening on its own. To quote:

"Everyday we have to spend time and energy to look our best, clean our houses and cars, take out the trash, pull the weeds out, mow the lawn etc.

From my experience order is not the natural state of things, only disorder. "

Your thoughts? Science buffs, preferably? lol

There is a natural order to things. Don't mow the yard or pull the weeds and it will revert to a beautiful and natural landscape. To impose one's will on things does not necessarily impose order... you should see my desk! lol

Snowflakes, crystals, planets, stars, proteins (think about the hams or chicken pieces you buy, they separate the meat into strands and then it reforms into a meat like structure). Oh, and in some regards chaotic systems are somewhat ordered, but on a very complex scale.

The 2nd law of thermodynamics does not state that there can not be order or that everything decays to disorder. It depends on whether a system is closed and has energy being supplied to it -Sorry, you'd need to look up a full explanation i.e. beyond a high school simplified version as it makes sense but not something that I would memorize.

There are a lot of things that happen that tear at our hearts. But what you have to understand is, the thing called free will. God blesses us everyday that we have the opportunity to open our eyes in the morning. And I thank him everyday for that. I'm going to answer your question this way. When the tragedy of 9/11 happened and left over three thousand dead. How many people worked in the World Trade Center? Over 40,000. The people that died had fulfilled their purpose. I had someone ask me, "where was God today". I said, "he's holding what's left of the buildings up so that the rest of the people can get out". He held others up in traffic so that they couldn't even enter the building that day. I'm sure others were stricken with ailments,so therefore, they couldn't make it to work and were spared. It's easy enough to hold the Lord accountable for what human being's have done that have been blessed with "free will", but what then does that leave us accountable for? God is a loving entity that gives us all a purpose in life. That purpose I believe is to love and be loved. It sounds very simple, but if you think about it, if that was the way it was, we would have no wars, jealousy, hatred, etc. Remember, God is the only judge. Not us. Instead of asking why, you as an individual should try to make some sort of positive change. If you and others, as small as we are compared to God, made a day of positive change, THERE HAS BEEN POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE WORLD! Never forget that God's love is unconditional, loving and merciful. When people die that is fact of life. People die everyday, under every kind of circumstance. No one can live forever. We may not all leave this world like we would like, soundly in our sleep, but whatever way we go, is the way agreed while we were only souls, before put into the human body. God bless and I pray that you will get a better understand of the Divine and understand that "You are God and God is You". When you have questions like this, go into yourself where the Divine dwells. Quiet your mind and ask God, and if you quieted your mind enough, YOU WILL HEAR HIM. When you seek happiness for yourself, it will always elude you. Seek happiness for others and you'll find it yourself. Khalil Gabran. I JUST READ YOUR ADDITIONAL DETAILS: So why not allow everybody to see him? You don't see air but you believe it exists. You don't see your thoughts, but they exists, etc. That is where FAITH comes in.

Let's see... planets... suns... solar systems... galaxies... life.

Here's an experiment that the bonehead (anyone) can perform right in his own kitchen. Get a container of Morton Salt. Slowly and carefully begin pouring it out on your table, until there is a little inverted cone of salt, and when you add more it just runs down the sides, and the pile does not get any higher. Then move on to start a new pile. Repeat until all the salt is gone. You will note that all the little piles of salt are the same height, and the angle of the sides of each pile is the same.

Then... see if he can explain... does that happen because God has sent down an angel, with a ruler and a protractor and a trowel, to shape the little piles of salt? Or, perhaps god intervenes directly, 'speaking' the salt piles into uniform height and 'angle of repose'?

Also... the formation of stars and their accompanying solar systems is well understood... it's about as mystical and supernatural as the little piles of salt. Look up 'nebular hypothesis'.

Chlorine and Hydrogen always get together to form (table) salt.

This proves that Lot's wife was made of Chlorine (or hydrogen).
