If one follows it. Otherwise no. The truth is written or spoken to help one to then make the proper choice how to act but if they don't choose to act according to Truth then what is the use.

If you're afraid he will be mean to her then don't let him see her. And if it's court appointed, then conveniently not be at home when you think he will stop by to pick her up. 90% of kids have a self hair cutting story. My niece recently cut her entire left side to the scalp, right down the middle. She had half a head of hair for a long time, it was quite a cute story. But a parent has to understand these things and know that it's part of what kids do and remain calm. If he can't see that then I would even think of calling the police for further protection. Don't be scared of him. Protect your baby girl. Good luck hun! Of course she needs to know she did something wrong though.

I endorse anwer given by 'cesila' that if u know the Truth. It is an uphill task to know the Truth, so until I gain an ability to connect myself with cosmic energy whenever I want to, then only I shall be free and for that I have a long way to go.

Depends, telling the D.A. might have the opposite effect.
But yes, in figurative sense, the truth can set you free. Problem is not everyone can handle the truth.
Peace.

Oh No !
Truth by itself simply does not bother about our existence even, leave alone dependence on our respecting or seeking it !
Even understanding of it does not make any dent. At the most it can cause some misery.
Acceptance of truth, at its deepest levels, does set us free !
We cannot 'use' truth to suit our convenience. We only can be with it if we seek any benefit from it !

Yes, indeed. Truth will set us free, each of us.
Now...I don't know about universal truth and complicated stuff like that, but I am sure about this : truth will set us free and it is even more simple than it sounds.

Truth can set us free only if we come to know of it and surrender ourselves to that divine realization. I consider myself to be the Knower of TRUTH and am trying to surrender myself to the divine realization but existing in this physical form amongst earthly attachments, I am still in doubt whether I really do know the whole TRUTH. I consider Lord Vishnu to be my Guru, since he has shown me the right path, and moreover it is getting increasingly difficult to find a true GURU these days. But within my limitations I still consider myself to be fortunate enough to take a small step in the right direction with the help of Lord Vishnu.

if you mean the ultimate truth which is god than yes but when it comes to secrets sometimes are best to leave them as such. the truth can destroy people, families, and some can't take the truth even if it is on a physical appearance. the truth can change ones whole world......

Well you are not real clear which truth But the truth in every situation will make you free. Think about it if you lie, steal, cheat etc...then you become traped with fear that you may be found out.
