Is it meant to be demeaning? Is there something wrong with believing fundamental Biblical truths? Please explain and may God bless you!

I know many True Christians have expressed their dismay at their bretheren for being so harsh on non Christians and so have Non Christians done the same. How would you handle those who say they are of your Faith and hide behind your bible and faith and then use it as an excuse to lash out and belittle and tell people they will go to hell. How do you handle them within your own faith?

I am not Christian but I know a true Christian does not believe in being cruel or thumbing people down because they disagree. They will turn the other cheek and respect others opinions as the True Christians I know do. So how would you go about knowing who is a true follower versus someone hiding behind your Faith?

For me it is easy, they cant cite and scriptures and it is easy for my faith because im Native American and it narrows it down easy for me, but what do you all do? Im not bashing faith, just those that hide behind it and actually harm it to those who respect it. Please only honest answers!!

Fellow Christians,
I live in an apt. complex. There is a woman who is NOT allowed on property. She is wanted for a felony and she has committed crimes on property. I do not have anything against her personally, but I do not trust her. She came over to my apt. this morning to use the phone. I let her in and she stayed about an hour. I did not like her being here, but felt scared to not let her in. I don't know why. Anyway, after she left I called the managers office to make sure that she was, indeed, not allowed on property and they confirmed it. Then I reported to them that she had been on property and had came to my apt. And they gave me the name and number of who to call next time I see her. They assured me that my name would not be disclosed. I feel bad now, like I committed a sin. I did not report her out of vindictiveness or spite. I did it, because I do not feel safe with these people that are not allowed on the property, still hanging out over here. Plus, I know

Will you tell me the truth, if you know it? I have a funny feeling that I may die in the near future. I will not be afraid. I just need to prepare if this is true. You would be doing me a great favor and service, if you could tell me the truth.

I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. Last Saturday one of my freinds from the Kingdom Hall and I went shopping. We went into a jewelry store and I saw some of the most beautiful Anklets I have ever seen.
My freind told me that it's not Christian-like to wear an anklet because that's how they identified Prostitutes in Biblical times. Is this true? I've never read it anywhere in the Scriptures.
As a matter of fact I'm freinds with a sister from Italy and she wears an anklet to meetings.

My question is, is wearing an anklet against bible teachings because that's how they identified prostitutes in Biblical times or is it a matter of culter and how some people think in other contries.

i dont get why god charges you for his book...

shouldnt his book be free to anyone who wants to learn about him?

silly christians. (dont give me this, "it costs money to produce them" nonsense, because we all know book stores get them from a manufacturer, and then mark the price up to make a profit on them)

shouldnt it be a sin to make money off of gods word?

Why didn't the Christians just send homeless people out to stand on bus stops with Chick tracts? Wouldn't that have been more effective than killing, raping, and pillaging non-believers?

How small we really are?

To think that we are the most important thing in the universe seems kind of egotistical to me.

do you watch any "educational" television? i'm actually not trying to insult you, but there are thousands of educational programs out there which basically go against your beliefs, such as evolution and the world being more than 6000 yrs old etc.

do you ever watch them? what do you think about them?

The problem: my sister, has a daughter 20yrs old, that has moved back in from living with a man for 2 years. She has a new job and trying to start a new life, but after being home one month, she has found out she is pregnant.

Question: Could someone give me biblical standards or verses on what the family's obligation toward this problem is?

My sister is upset, but is torn about what to do and her daughter is thinking about going back to this guy even though he abused her verbally and cheated on her openly.
I realize this is a forum. Just wanted some helpful thoughts. (neither my sister or her daughter are christians)

they are getting baptized into an organization, your trapped like a rat in a cage, thats how they keep you in,you are saved by grace, spirit ,If the spirit of a man has no existence apart from the body, why does Stephen just before his death in Acts 7:59, pray to Jesus to "receive my spirit"? How could Jesus, who was in heaven, receive Stephen's spirit if a man's spirit ceases to exist when the body dies and if no one could enter heaven until the year 1914? Similarly, if the soul ceases to exist after the death of the body, why does Paul say that he would rather be “absent from the body” so he could go make his “home with the Lord” (2Cor 5:8), and why would he say that he would rather depart from this life so that he could go be with Christ (Phil 1:23)? How could Paul be “with Christ” and make his “home with the Lord” if no one could enter heaven until 1914?
