Like the rock stars, they always wanna look "bad" and "dark" but some are playing with something they don't know and also some are aware of what it means, but are they really?

YES they all do, and YES all Pagans do and the do not care because what is not real will not hurt them as they see it.

You have to beleive it in order for it to be real to you. YOU DO so it is very real to you. To them it is not and neither are going to convince the other side any different so I do not know why either try!

If you believe they will then do your thing and pray for them. IF you are them and do not believe in it then do your thing and party on and don't let it worry you a Christian is praying for your soul, that is their belief. So no reason both beliefs cannot be respected at the same time. It is ok to agree to disagree.

Hope you see my logic. This is not taking any sides, this is trying to show you the mindset of both sides and how it will never change either way soon.

*typical NON real Christians..a real Christian would never thumb down an opinion only a radicalist would, so we have 6 so far, how many more radicals are there, come show yourselves and name yourselves too, don't hide behind your thumbs down. I try to be polite and neutral and just because I do not take your side I am slammed, shows your not real Christians, for a real Christian would never be cruel or mean to another expressing their opinion so that means so far you are all radicals and not worthy of an answer. I feel sorry for real Christians that have to tolerate you all.

(Im also not a Christian! silly people! Try Native American)

Hell is described by the Catholic Church as a person being denied access to the presence of God. So, no, you won't find God there. It's too late then. We make our own hells, and you had better believe that it is a real place. Imagine the thing you fear the most and then imagine spending eternity in its presence.

I don't really have to think about that. I was promised the other place since I have Jesus. He talked about it and I don't believe he would lie or make it up to scare people. I believe him, so it exists. He spoke in metaphors. His main message was about grace and love, so he wouldn't use scare-tactics, although some churches did later. (Some people say you can sin and repent at the end of your life, but God will know if your heart was to love him. If you aren't sincere, do you think you can pull that off? ANd you can repent in the middle of your life and sin after that too, you're free. As long as you have the right heart for God and desire to obey him and know him.)

Hell is to be separated from God. It's people getting what they want. The fire and stuff is a metaphor for how it feels to be completely without him. If you don't choose God, you get to live with your choice. Heaven and hell is a heck of a gamble to lose.

are you baptist or apostolic? catholic? dante wrote about certain views on hell. it sounds like you're referring to those. first off everyones hell is different. mine would be in a body that cannot move with all mental faculties and the ability to feel pain. some people think of hellfire and brimstone. when it's so subjective it's impossible for you to know what it means to others.

I know exactly what the concept of Hell means. It means because of how you live a mere 80 years, you are judged and sentenced for ETERNITY!

This is obviously a scare tactic, other wise, there would be more proof than just mans word.

Either that, or we live under an extremely cruel god. I mean, what kind of being would say, "Hey you have to worship me. I wont provide any real proof that I exist except for this man written book, and if you don't believe that, well you'll just burn in Hell for all of eternity for doubting I exist, even though I haven't provided you with any real proof."

No, it makes more sense that religious leaders weren't getting enough followers with a loving god that never showed himself to exist. Since religious leaders couldn't convert people by showing them God (since He doesn't exist), they decided to scare people by saying exactly what you're saying, "Don't you know you're gonna burn in Hell if you don't convert?!"

I'd get to meet Elvis, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, George Harrison, Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, Janis Joplin, and the rest of the guys there.
Too bad you'll miss it.

Yeah it really means to go to a really mythical place. Let's start with basics, you assert that there is a terrible hell based on your belief, I understand that belief but see no evidence that would indicated that god exists or that the bible (or any other holy book) is true about the miraculous events it contains. Why would I believe in an unproven fairy tale? Or what makes it different than Santa - this is a serious question.

hell is everybody

seriously, when you die and go to the other side you will know god, you will see him and believe in him, but also you will know that you had rejected him after all he has done.

to review you life and to see all the wasted time he reached for you and you slapped his hand away. to know how he saved us from so much and we take the credit for what he had done. and then the worst pain to be permanently removed from him and everone else. the pain of hell is a welcome distraction to the personal torment of the heart

And if there is a god who punishes people for rational doubt, why would you want to spend an eternity with it anyway? Such a capricious, egotistical, and nasty god wouldn’t be much fun. If you can’t trust it to be as moral as you are, you can’t trust it to keep its promises and make heaven nice or even let you stay for long. Not spending eternity with such a being doesn’t sound like much of a loss.

I'll be hangin' with Bob Marley and Gandhi!

Hell is to scare people into believing in God.

That's not how a God of love operates. Hell is not an ever burning place. It's a place where evil meets its end.
