We can't quite bring ourselves to believe in nonsense and we think if we can get everyone else to believe in nonsense, it will make us believe, too.

Non-believers in God, why do you feel the need to have believers converted into non-believers? Why is there a need to get everyone to become non-believers and follow your religion?

That is one of the great mind-control-tricks that Christians fall for.
Monotheistic religion first states that ONLY those who accept THIS religion and NO OTHER, will be granted eternal life.
They further propose that EVERYONE who DOES NOT accept THIS RELIGION will burn for eternity.
Then they DEMAND that ALL of their followers proselytize and convert others... or just kill them, whichever is easier.
The two most egregious religions (Islam and Christianity) both use the same three premises to propagate their propaganda:
1- OURS is the ONLY true religion
2- ALL OTHER religions are FALSE
3- EVERYONE who does not believe us must both suffer death and eternal damnation.
So, by their twisted logic, believers must be evangelists for their particular cult, to the exclusion of all other cults, or else they are not fulfilling "god's word."
Anyone who disagrees with these statements has either bought a watered down version of "religion light" (tastes great... less filling!)
...or they have never thoroughly read the storybook of their particular cult.
Anyone who actually reads the bible (any version) or the Koran (Q'ran) will quickly discover this is true; both of those religions demand absolute obedience to religious authority and demand that all non-believers be converted or slain. That's it! ;-)
It does not matter how nicety-nice modern apologists try to rationalize it... religion is evil. Religion is an unnecessary vestigial remnant from the Dark Ages. Religion became prevalent only through its use of force, terror, torture, ignorance and fear. That is as true today as it was in during the Inquisitions.
The reason religiosos still proselytize, is because stupid gullible people are still vulnerable to the evil tactics that helped religion infect the world for the last eon.
You'd think we'd have grown out of that by now, and to a large extent, most of the world has. However, Neo-Con republicans (in their efforts to polarize politics,) have successfully pitted fundamentalist groups against the will of the majority. They make simple human rights issues into intractable "moral" debates and intentionally confuse science with their own fiction.
That’s why there are still vociferous elements of religious fundamentalism that constantly try to convert sane people into insane obsequious believers.

I think its the non believers that try to convert more than a believer. Then again its easier to point the finger of blame at someone who does believe and has religion.

I disagree bearing directly to those that say atheism not at all injury anybody. What are an Atheist's "gods"--what's maximum severe to them? kinfolk? money? potential? secure practices? Justice? Social status/type? Themselves normally? how a lot of human beings have died serving those gods? Extremism in any kind is risky, yet that doesn't make each faith or non secular man or woman risky. that's like asserting each modern-day Christian is liable for the Crusades, each Muslim on earth is liable for the 9/11 assaults, and each white American is liable for slavery and community American oppression. bearing directly to clever layout and Evolution: maximum Christians do no longer desire Evo out, they only desire I.D. in. (and there's a distinction between I.D. and Creationism--look it up.) as a results of fact that the two are **THEORIES** scientifically, that's fallacious to modern-day basically one and modern-day it as fact. Why do non secular human beings combat so hard for their religions? as a results of fact athiests combat so hard against them. what share "ten commandment" symbols have been faraway from courthouses? those are no longer basically non secular symbols the two--they have historic and cultural magnitude. And interior the sector of technology, faith is usually scoffed at, no longer given an ideal evaluate in any respect. look at it this variety--in case you had 2 drugs that each and each would desire to be the therapy for many cancers, you will possibly learn them the two, taking meticulous measurements and flushing out each component to documents perceivable. whilst it consists of clever layout as against despite huge bang-esque theory is consumer-friendly interior the clinical community on the 2d, in spite of the undeniable fact that, I.D. isn't even given the delight of the tiniest little bit of study, and scientists who coach non secular inclinations are often dealt with poorly and at last pushed out of the sector. Watch Ben Stein's documentary "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed".

I know God exists from my own personal experience, but I feel no need to have non-believers convert into believers or follow a religion.
I only say God can be found...whether you look or not is totally up to you.

They could ask,"Why some do non-believers what to convert believers into thinking they're wrong about their religion?"
Answer that, and you have answered your own question.
But I'll help:
It's human in nature to want others to agree with us. It's difficult for humans to accept the opinions and/or beliefs of others, especially when discussing issues of politics and religion.

Jews don't feel this way. They believe in God. FYI.
In Christianity they believe the Bible tells them to do convert people. And so they do as their religion tells them to do.

I will try and explain this is as simple way as possible. If you met someone and fell completely in love with them, wouldn't you want everyone you met to meet this person. Well, when we know Jesus, who is the greatest love in the world, we too want to share Him. He has saved us from our sin, and we have a personal relationship with God, and want others to know Him too. It is totally your choice to believe or not. But why does it bother you so much, that we share?
