Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

"O Mankind, We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other. Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is he who is the most righteous of you" (Quran 49:13).
Explanation: There are several principles, which this verse presents:
1.This message is not just for Muslims only because God is addressing all of humanity. While Muslims are one brotherhood, this is part of a larger brotherhood of humanity.
2.God is telling us that He has created us. Therefore He knows the best about us.
3.He says that He created us from one man and one woman meaning then that we are all the same.
4.These difference among nations, is a sign from God ("And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colors. Verily, in that are indeed signs for those who know" [Quran 30:22]).

(Ignoring the fact that all agnostics are either theist or atheist):

Some agnostics claim that atheists are certain there is no god, therefore they believe atheists are as arrogant as theists.

Do you atheists agree with this?

christians, jews and muslims were all promised the holy lands. anybody that curses us, will be cursed by God. this protection includes muslims. look at verse 7

geneis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:

12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

12:4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

The Unity and Brotherhood between followers of all Major Religions can be best achieved by Believing and Worshipping One God:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. ‘Say: O people of the Book come to common terms as between you and us. That we worship none but Allah, that we associate no partners with Him. That we erect not from amongst ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah. If then they turn back, say: Bear witness that we at least are Muslims bowing to the will of Allah. [Quran 3:64].

Scenario:
If a person believes there is one true God and Jesus was His son, prays, has faith in God's plan for their life, etc. but does not attend church regularly or has not been officially Baptised, can they still go to Heaven based on their beliefs/deeds?

And if a person accepted Christ as their saviour many years ago but did not maintain the "walk" with God, is it all voided even though they still believe?

Hope that makes some sense. Apologies if it is difficult to understand. These are just a few things I was thinking about today after hearing of the death of a family friend.

Thanks.

Im a Christian. God is what helps me through the day. I need nothing to prove to me He is real. I feel Him in every fiber of my being. What bothers me is how people who choose to turn from the light of God are so disrespectful toward Him and me. I'm in no way disrespectful of their beliefs, or lack of. I just want to know why.

No more parting of the seas, no more deluges, no sun stopping in the sky, no angels or wandering stars being viewed by the public, no golden chariots of fire, no cities of sinners burned to their foundations, no water turned into wine....

Could it be it's all fake, and that it came from the imagination of meek goat herders from the bronze age?

Or could it be we're no longer worthy of all that magic?

I'm yet to see a single video or scientifically-tested account of such "miracles".

A baby? A sunset? An eclipse? Someone healing after a terminal cancer? Those are NOT miracles, those can be easily explained by science.

I'm talking about those great Biblical showers of sparks.....

since he was gathering too many people, he was seen like a rebel to the empire and so accused of treason or whatever...so he was seen for the established government a threat to their interests, so, in same way, he died because according to roman laws he was a "criminal"...
That would be like saying a man who breaks in a house to steal something to buy food for their children, rapes and kills a woman, he is condemned to death and then someone says he died for his children...no, he died because of his actions, the intentions he had on life dont explain the reason of his death...so jesus died for what he did...he didnt die "on purpose" to accomplish any superior and divine goal, he was just executed (fair or unfair is not the point) due to his actions.

Do you come here to try to convert others to your beliefs/way of thinking? Do you come here to be converted? Do you come here to learn about others beliefs even though you won't change yours? Do you come here to put down others beliefs?

I come to learn. My beliefs will not change, but I think it's interesting to learn about others.

Why do you always bellyache about not having lots of nice stuff? Why can't you realize that your gods want us to have all the shiny cars and powerful weapons while you have to be content with wearing grass?

If gods were fair, would they BE gods?

How I live my life is up to me. If I speak out about who I am, that's not forcing anything on anyone else. It's just expressing who and what I am and saying there’s nothing wrong with me. I’ve seen many people on Yahoo answers, that call my way of life perverted. Others have gone as far as to say we should be wiped off the face of the earth. And, you people call yourself tolerant. There's nothing abnormal or wrong about my lifestyle. There are still countries in the world where people like me are put to death just for being who we are. Certainly, in a country like America, where we are slowly getting beyond these prejudices, such hate should not still exist. I will not try to change to suit you. I am who I am. I am a Christian. And, I guess you’re right. It is a choice. And no…it can’t be forced on you. You must except it on your own.

This is not a bashing. It is a curiosity.

Instead of whining and thus bothering everyone around them, can't they just go somewhere else and ask their God to take care of what they don't like?
