Do you come here to try to convert others to your beliefs/way of thinking? Do you come here to be converted? Do you come here to learn about others beliefs even though you won't change yours? Do you come here to put down others beliefs?

I come to learn. My beliefs will not change, but I think it's interesting to learn about others.

You know I just noticed they have a section on YA for Bull Fighting but they don't have individual sections for the different beliefs.....
Oh, sorry I got distracted. I come to this section to learn, maybe enlighten people a little but mostly I come for the laughs.

Welcome aboard, buckle your seat belt, and make sure your tray is in the upright position your in for a bumpy ride!

Blessings!

Just to discuss beliefs in general. I'm not looking to convert anyone, and any attempts to convert me will just be ignored. I like learning and sharing what I know, when I can.

I left for 4 months because the violation notices had gotten out of hand. I heard things have changed so I hope this is the case!

1/50 questions will have not a single message of hate in them. Those, of course, are the ones people take little notice of. And then those who read it, will either learn something, or engage in some nice debate with no hatred in the messages.

I sometimes will come here to laugh at the stupid flamers, but that's only when I'm angry. But mainly, I read questions. If I learn something, I feel the need to respond. If I don't learn a thing and it's just a message of hate, then I'll either ignore it or respond to the stupidness with a sarcastic answer. I try not to respond to stupid questions, though as tempting it may be.

Sometimes out of boredom, but mostly to learn and try to understand, as well as to share my beliefs (spiritual/deist but not religious) hopefully in a respectful way. (though sometimes I do get angry at those who are intolerant)

I'm not trying to convert anybody, but do hope to enlighten people that maybe there is a middle way between organized religion and atheism and that it's good to be open to different ideas.

I came to YA to ask a question for school. Then I saw the R&S section and thought I would check it out. I just think some of the questions and answers are very interesting and I have learned alot about other people and the way they think. I may disagree with alot of what is said but I try to be as respectful to everybody as I can be.

Originally I came here to learn but I found out that there are very few you can learn from. There is too much finger pointing. Now it's more for fun but once in a great while I actually do read something interesting.

I come here to contribute to the discussion and to learn.

Since I do not really have an ax to grind, I guess I am not here to convert anyone. Now if I address an issue, I hope to address it in a way that is persuasive--so I guess I hope to persuade someone who up to that point did not agree with me. Or heck! I may just be persuaded that my opinion was poorly based or even outright wrong.

It seem to me that your statements 1) "I come to learn." and 2) My beliefs will not change." may at some point be contradictory.

I visit this 'blest portal' no seriously I use this category to answer people's questions, queries and hang ups about Christianity, I don't have all the answers by a long way but I answer the questions I am qualified to, in the process it reminds me of what I believe and points out the holes and gaps in my knowledge and understanding.
Noone religious or otherwise should use this forum in a superior or 'holier than thou' manner such people expose themselves as arrogant when they answer questions like that.

I don't like what Y/A has done with the font size though, they should have left it as it was..

I come to try to provide some light in the darkness. I am not here to argue, to insult, to twist arms or to convince anyone of anything. God does the convincing, and I just tell what I've experienced or know. Since I grew up without God and was an atheist for a few years and was convinced that religion was for morons, and then found God, I think I have some valid reason to share what I've seen and heard.

I try to add some calming effect to the turmoil here. Try to help those people I can help and care for those people I can care for.

I come here to exercise my brain muscle. I come here to find questions that challenge me to stretch my perspective to include others. I come here in hopes of being able in some small way to express the ineffible that is manifest in every particle and even inbetween particles of this universe. In short, I'm looking for the high acchieved by grace. ;)
