Revelation 3:12 says He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, who comes down out of heaven form My God. And I will write on him MY NEW NAME.

Zechariah 14:9 says, In that day it shall be The LORD is one, and And HIS NAME ONE.

The clearly teaches there is only ONE Lord. The name of God was always according to His deeds.

are there more Christians than atheists in the US? Doesn't being grossly outnumbered make you think that you might just be wrong?

Even if theists are wrong, what's wrong with you that you just won't conform? Can't you see that if we have to admit you're right, we also have to admit that we've been ignorant? That is so embarrassing -- it's cruel of you to try to do that to us.

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor" thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?" Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill."

Archaeologists have determined that Chinese farmers cultivated rice along the eastern coast as far back as 7,700 years ago and used fire and flood control measures to manage their fields. Wouldn't that have been rather hard to do if (according to some literal interpretations of the Holy Bible) the Earth is only 6,000 years old?

Okay this is a question I have had for awhile. I am a christian and I don't just say it-I try to be a great example for others and try to do things that please God. Here is the question. I think donating organs is a great thing to do but if you die and donate your organs and the rapture comes,("and the dead in Christ shall rise") Will the person who got your organs just die? Will that organ stop working? I know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord but that is your soul not your body so Is it OK to donate your organs? I would like your thoughts on this. Also why or why not? Also serious answers only please. I am not rude to anyone else about their faith so please respect mine as well and no ugly comments! Thank you and God Bless!

Atheist love to boast that they are not "religious" but you have to Believe there is no god in order to make that assumption and that cannot be proven, therefore atheism is religious.. are atheist wellingly ignorrant for there own personal gains? for reasons of ethics, materialism, sexual freedom and/or libralism? I don't believe there is a lack of evidence to support that there is a god, but I think the suppression of evidence is the problem, what do you think?

When I was 11year old I found out the right word for what I was, and that I knew I was since I was 5...I found out what the word "gay" and "homosexual" meant and I was finally able to associate a word to my difference. Because, I knew I was different mentaly from other boys from the time I was 5 maybe even before that. I learned these words and what I was when I was 11yrs, while in church, and the youth pastor preaching about the wrongness of homosexuality and that they wouldn't be allowed into heaven, if they didn't change. For years after that day I hated myself, I would constantly try and force myself to like girls and almost fooled myself into believing I had a crush on one, I didn't. I would pray to god everynight with tears in my eyes, begging him to change me to make me straight, to make me stop having thoughts about other boys instead of girls i was 11!! I would constantly wonder why I should go to hell for something I didn't choose He never answered my prayer...why?

Scientifical approach tries to explain the world, and we live in a scientifical world since we are looking for answers and giving explanations about things based on observation...
Christians do exactly the same, they answer questions, try to find an earthly logic/way of expressing their beliefs, they dont just say: this is it because this is it...but they look in the bible and look for an answer that satisfies themselves and may convince others...in their need of explaining things to themselves and make their religion less absurd tothe ears of non believers they are doing exactly the same that Darwin in his days did.
Pageants in the middle ages didnt question or try to explain their beliefs, society was not influenced by scientifical approach, so they just believed and said amen if they ever didnt understand anything but today the world is science and even christians are influenced by it and as everybody else have become part of it.

So how will education or science teach mankind how to get along? how will it educate people on how to *Love thy Neighbor* how will it teach people on morality? how will it teach people on the death penalty, abortion, homosexuality, fornication, polygamy, selfishness
greed, lovers of money more than lovers of people..How will a *Better Education* enhance society ? or will you jsy leave those other educational matters up to the government? or maybe to a nanny or a dysfunctional parent or to the school teacher? or maybe you will just let the Individual Person* make up thier own rules if they want to be a decent moral person on thier own terms?

Think about it. Every single ancient civilization had their own religion and ideas of how the world began. And yet, when you hear some of those stories, they are completely laughable concepts.

With that in mind, don't you think that, in the future (as if it hasn't already began now), today's ideas of God and creation will sound just as stupid as those of the past?

I mean, explaining day and night as "the moon and sun holding a grudge against each other and therefore not being able to share the same sky" is not as far-fetched as "God said "let there be light" and there being light, now is it?

you are saved???
jesus died forour sins no matter what i do i am saved anyway, since he was god and if a god dies for your sins, it means so... cause, what kind of a god would be if even though dying for our sins then we were condemned for our sins???
god dies for our sins, later on he will decide who goes to hell or heaven based on our sins, so everyone goes to heaven.
he dies for our sins and later on he himself judges us for our sins....there is some kind of "complexity" (irony) i dont quite grasp

Every person should have, as a fundamental right, the freedom to follow and practice the religion of his or her choice. So also the freedom to change from one religion to another. From this arises one's duty to respect the religious views and practices of others, however convinced one many be that one's religion is the true one, just as an ardent supporter of one political party must respect the views and policies of other parties or a scientist who values his theories must respect even the contrary theories of other scientists.

Do you respect other Religions?

I was told this a bit ago, and it makes me so angry that people judge other people that they dont know.

Cindy: We do have a loving and forgiving God. However, God makes His judgment on the dead when they die. It doesn't matter whether or not your fiancee was angry at God. What matters is whether he repented of his sins (asked for forgiveness and turned away) and put his faith in Jesus. He would fail on two qualifications if he was angry at God. It would seem that he did not put his faith in Jesus. One commandment is to put God first in one's life. Being angry at God makes it seem like God was last in his life.

Cindy, you cannot pray for the dead because your fiancee's eternity was decided the moment he died. God either accepted him into Heaven or sent him into Hell. By the way you've described it, it sounds like he's in Hell. It is a sad thing to think. Prayer won't change it because it has been decided. God is a just God, meaning he won't let sin go unpunished. Unless your fiancee asked Jesus into his heart (through repentance and faith), the one who paid for his sins, he is not in Heaven.

Is there a cure???

Every single human being has a tail. It develops when you're about a 4-week-old embryo and then the vertebrae and other tissues are gradually re-absorbed by the body over the following few weeks, so that almost all of us are born with just the very base of the tail, the coccyx, which is not even visible externally. In rare cases however, the tail is not fully re-absorbed and the person is born with a visible, atavistic tail.

Most significantly, the genes responsible for the human tail are the *same* genes which serve that purpose in other mammals which *do* have a tail.

Why would an intelligent designer put the genes for a tail in a creature which is (usually) tailless at birth? Why would he have it develop for a few weeks and then be re-absorbed by the body?

There is only one plausible explanation that I can think of for humans having the genes for a tail: We inherited them from tail-bearing evolutionary ancestors of several million years ago.

Agreed?

like a seer who knows the future, but due to short term memory loss God has to remind me usually the day before about what to do. I feel people might get narky with me becasue i do have this ability, but that is how God works with me. I feel like a fraud sometimes too.

Matthew 5:17-18:

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."
