When God created man in His image He didn't stop there . God also has the very same emotions we have. He admitted that He was a jealous God but righteously so . It is even written that while God loved Jacob He hated Esau before he was in his mothers womb. But then again it was righteous hate because actually it was Esau's attitude He hated. So all God's emotions are righteous and justified. God is jealous of other gods for the same reason any other father would be jealous if his children gave credit for siring and raising them to someone else. And He is our only original father / God.

No hatred is not a sin. Hatred is an emotion. It is correct to hate evil and to hate tyranny and to hate wickedness and hate cruelty and hate anything that belittles people or harms people.

Yes there are many gods with a small g. For some, their god is fame or reputation, for others, their god is fortune, for others their god is themselves, for others it's the spirit of the earth or something like that. There are many gods, but only one true God, the creator of all things, the source of life and goodness. And God wants the respect he deserves for being who he is.

God doesn't hate. Yes, hatred is a sin. He was not jealous of other gods, they were pagans. Yes, he is the only one. There used to be many gods during the ancient greek and roman times but that was what God was trying to get rid of. They were created by Satan to try to destroy the one God.

Hatred of people is a sin, not hate itself.

God cannot sin - it is impossible for Him.

There are many 'gods' (little g), but there is only one true God (big G)!

The bigger question-Why do people think God is man/woman when a being of that power is beyond gender. Why do so little people read the "Holy" book and yet so many agree. Why does the worst theology have the most power? (Christians.)

It's a righteous hatred. It's a hatred of sin. How can hating sin be a sin?

Hatred in itself isn't a sin, it depends on the source and target of the hatred.

Hatred of evil, is holy.

Hatred is NOT a sin in all cases. God has always hated that which keeps people from having all the blessings He wishes to give to all people.

A sample of what God has said from first to last:

Ex 18:21
21 But select capable men from all the people--men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain
(from New International Version)

Deut 7:14-16
15 The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you. 16 You must destroy all the peoples the LORD your God gives over to you. Do not look on them with pity and do not serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you.
(from New International Version)

Ps 31:6-8

6 I hate those who cling to worthless idols;
I trust in the LORD.
7 I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
for you saw my affliction
and knew the anguish of my soul.
8 You have not handed me over to the enemy
but have set my feet in a spacious place.
(from New International Version)

Ps 97:10

10 Let those who love the LORD hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
(from New International Version)

Rom 12:9

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
(from New International Version)

Rev 2:6-7
ut you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
(from New International Version)

In ancient times, Hebrews believed in multiple gods, but they only worshipped Yahweh (Biblegod), the Canaanite war god who proclaimed superiority over all other gods.
