Today, I challenged alleninthehills to put up some proof in one of his questions about evolution. He took my challenge, and although we still disagree, I can appreciate his approach to the issue at hand.

I think it's pretty cool when two people who disagree on the main part of any topic, especially religion, can interact in a positive way. alleninthehills, you're okay in my book....even if you aren't an atheist (haha).

Do you have any such stories of positive inter-religion correspondence? ;o) I thought we could all use a little positive stuff for a change!

I get a bit tied of the Athiests and Christians slugging it out between them. They seem to think you are either a Christian or an Atheist they seem to ignor the myriad of other philosophies and spiritualities that exist. I admit in that debate I do favor the Atheists but my real position is 'a plague on both your houses!'

John 16:27 For the Father himself has affection for YOU, because YOU have had affection for me and have believed that I came out as the Father’s representative. 28 I came out from the Father and have come into the world. Further, I am leaving the world and am going my way to the Father.”

desire and need to worship something, or someone?
Why is there such a universal religious sense within humanity?

2)Where does all of the incredibly complex information come from that is stored within DNA? Information doesn’t just appear by itself. Someone has to put it there. God.

3)What about the evidence of design in all of creation? It is obvious that anything that is designed has to have an intelligent creator. For example, a computer never came about by mere accident, but had to have been thought out and planned by an intelligent designer. It is the same with creation, and more so, as the natural world is far more complicated than anything humanity can create. God is the answer.

4)How do you explain the changed lives of millions of people throughout history who testify to a life changing experience with Jesus Christ?

5)Isn’t it a bit extreme to assert "God does not exist"?

I have more, but I will have to wait as I am running out of space and questions for the day.

many Christians mentioned that the reason animals have homosexual sex is because God didn't give them the Law- they just follow instincts because they don't have freewill.

If they don't have freewill, aren't they just doing exactly what God intended for them? God created them, right? And without freewill, nothing they do could be their own idea. But they DO have homosexual sex. So God must think it's okay in the animal kingdom, since it's natural, and since he made nature.

So my point is, how can you say being homosexual isn't natural? It seems to me that if God's Law really does say not to have homosexual sex that is not because they aren't "born that way" but because he simply doesn't want them to even though it may be natural for them.

What do you think?

(Its a hard thing to describe) Like you fly through your day doing stuff youre not even sure you like, doing stuff you know you dont like, but are led to believe are necessary. And so finally at the end of the day you come home and you dont feel right, like theres a hole inside of you and you dont know how to fill it. Does anybody else feel this way? How do you fix it? Thanks

i mean what made u become/convert to an agnostic or atheist ???

for me, it was a life changing moment....i was brought up in a loving and religiously home....i went to the temple every sunday...however i was molested by the preist at the tender age of 9 yrs old in the temple....i was like every other kid....i liked cartoons, toys, believed in Santa Claus, playing at the park, etc.....but after that horrible incident, i completely changed....i started questioning everything....i read that God protected its followers from harm....oh yeah, well where the f.u.c.k. was he when i was being molested ???

at the age of 9, i was thinking why didn't God save me ??? should he have struck down the preist with lighting or something ??? of course, that never happened....that more i read the bible and "holy books," that more i was disgusted by it....

John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

Isn't that the same as saying we are all Protestants because we all protest certain things?
Why do atheists, notably Dan Barker-- I've heard it in every debate he has engaged in-- and some more famous atheists, make this odd point as if it means anything?
It's to similar to Kurk Cameron's claims that atheists are really agnostic.

I mean, the bible tells us about him living somewhere out there in the universe. Sounds like an alien to me. The same goes for the angels.

Will you please define the word alien if you don't consider YHWH and the angels to be aliens.

Why do they have to be deffended as they were apart from each other anyway?

Sometimes I think it is all about who came first (God or Evolution) as the creator that we discuss about, but what if the Evolution theory is really right, the Universe was made from an explosion, human beings came from apes, dynossaurs inhabited the Earth, Adam and Eve really existed, although they were not the first, and everything else with God's permission...

Why not?

Lately, my dog has been engaging in some pretty deviant behavior and I am scared for his soul. Some of the things that concern me the most:

- He is NOT monogamous.
- He has "special relationships" with other male dogs.
- When I take him to the park, and he sees another dog, he always goes up and smells that dog's behind.

Is there anything I can do for him? Is there anyway I can teach him to have good, Christian, values?

Serious Answers only please. Thanks!!!

She was raised in a Christian home, but she realized that she has never known God, and wants to find him... well really she wants to want to find him, if you get my meaning. She feels apathetic. Please pray that God will break through her apathy so that she can accept God into her heart, which is what she desires also.

A lot of you assume that Christians who homeschool are whacked-out Bible bangers bent on controlling their kids minds and isolating them from the opinions of others. So, why don't you visit a local homeschool group- one for Christian homeschoolers and see what you find out. They are not trying to control their kids minds, they are normal, loving parents who want the best for their kids. T

They go out of their way to provide a rich enviornment for their kids. For instance, how many educational and cultural "field trips" have you or your kids school provided your kids with this year? Now, ask a homeschooler how many times they have done so.

Visit a homeschool group and see what it's really like. The only difference between homeschool families and other families is that our kitchen counters are usually covered in science experiments in progress!

im curious as to what you make of animals that display bisexual and homosexual behavior.

do you believe satan is tempting them to do this?

or do you think god created them this way?

(for those that want something more - http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/07/0722_040722_gayanimal.html )

so i guess what im asking is, are these animals sinning then? and what is their punishment?

I posed it as a 'yes' or 'no' for simplification but left room for an explanation. I see many who skipped past my question to answer other questions and some even took the time to call Christians names like "idiot" and "f....ing retarded".

I am asking because I would like to see how many people would have answered "no" had they not been so busy insulting others here.
