Someone posted an atheist's prayer, and I responded by posting Zelazny's agnostic prayer. I thought it fit the topic, and frankly I find it hilarious. I thought it would give people at least a chuckle. Rather to my surprise, it received a down-thumb as the first response.
Awhile back, someone posted a question about bunnies. I responded with Anya's heavy-metal riff against bunnies from the Buffy musical episode, which I also find funny. It, too, received several down-thumbs.
The answer below mine in a recent question was from a woman named Nea, which was:
"A roving band of mathematicians - hilarious!
I had no idea mathematicians were nomadic ."
I found the answer slightly amusing, and certainly innocuous, but it, too, is receiving down-thumbs.
So, am I reasonable in assuming those are from people with the sense of humor of a moldy turnip, or is there some logic there?
