Im going through a break - up with my love. I do love him, he loves me as well. Im just still young, and im not ready for the seriousness of this relationship.
He is not a very religious person... nor am I, but I have learned a lot about Christianity through my mother...
I have taught my love during our relationship about God. I have been talking about God through the whole break up... that he must trust that God has a plan for each of us, and that if His plan is for us to be together then he will make it happen!
He has started to pray, and just talk with God. Tell him everything... and he says it makes him feel better.
But he is praying that God makes me come back to him... is that wrong? I have told him to pray that Gods will be done... and he is doing that... but is it wrong that he prays for God to bring me back to him? And for us to be together?

It's not wrong that He's asking God to bring you back into his life. However, I agree with you in that he should be praying that God's will be done through this. You said yourself that you know that God has a plan for all of us and as painful as it may be, being with your "love" may not be part of that plan. Besides praying for God's will to be done, I'd also pray that He gives you peace and the faith to trust in Him during this time.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
~Proverbs 3:5-6 (New International Version)~
Just remember that God loves you and has your best interest at heart.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
~Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version)~

Curious, you say that your not a "religious" person, nor is your BF?? So I am asking myself, why are either of you praying to a God that you do not know? What would really be point?
Even though it may make one "feel" better, it seems there is no relationship with God in either of your lives, so what is the point of praying to a Being that neither of you acknowledges as LORD of your lives.
To get to KNOW Jesus Christ is a serious matter, one that God considers ALL IMPORTANT. He has given you His Word, (the Bible) and He expects you to come to have a relationship with HIM before you have relationships with other people.
I hope & pray with all my heart that you & your BF will come into a serious relationship with Jesus Christ, your current life & your eternal lives depend on it.
Read the Bible, YOURSELF...and get to KNOW this God that your Mom has been trying to tell you about!
Hope this helps?

better to pray His will.
he can pray for you both to be together (you only want to be with him if God wants).
God wants you both to accept Jesus.A relationship needs God in it to work properly.
you say say you are young (if you are below 18 and he is an adult talk to your parents or a trusted female relative).
You both may want to go to a bible believing church and seek council of a female church leader (or male pastor if both together).
If he is an adult and you are a child (under 18) sex is probably a crime and shouldn't be done.
Both read:
Acts 2:21
Eph 2:8-9
1 & 2 Tim
John 3
Romans 3,6,10
Jesus will forgive you both of all your sin pray and ask.

Why would it be wrong, to start with? He believes he'd be happy with you, therefore he prays to get that happiness back. Nothing bad about it.
Problem here is how do you feel about the whole relationship? Do YOU want him back or not? When you can answer that question, then you'll have a starting point.

Keep praying and keep an open mind. If you are as young as you suggest, you still have a lot of maturing to do and you and he may become less compatible. If he is as deeply in love with you as he sounds, then I don't see that his praying for you to come back to him is wrong. Hannah, after all, prayed out of the fullness of her heart. But he must be prepared to receive a "no" answer.

It is not wrong for him to pray that... because God would NOT just force you to go back to him... It goes against his grand design of free will. It is also you ex-bf to-be's free will to wish for your return as well, just as it is your perogative to make the choice to break up with him.
If God wanted to FORCE his creations, God would have forced Adam and Eve to just obey without question.
A prayer would only bring about the best situations for the parties involved to see, experience and feel in order for them to make their own choices. In some cases, the worse of situation for the parties involve to see, what they might be facing for the choice they are contemplating to make...

You're too young to get ulcers about stuff like that. If he's right for you, you will know. If not, then you haven't lost anything. You'll be okay.
Stay close to God, and everything you need will be given to you.

Well, since the both of you seem to have limited knowledge of what God may want or desire for you--it is best to see our perfect example of prayer--called the "Lord's prayer".
A simple break down would be like this:
Jesus said this--
Matthew 6:9-13, "After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,(acknowledge God as your Heavenly Father)
Hallowed be thy name.(acknowledge his holiness and his name as holy)
Thy kingdom come.(acknowledge that his kingdom is and will come)
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (acknowledge that it is GOD's will to be done on earth ***not our own will*** that God's perfect will prevail on earth as it prevails in heaven.)
Give us this day our daily bread.(ask God for our needs)
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. (name our sins and ask God to forgive us of all our sins and forgive those who have sinned against us)
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: (ask for God's leading and protection from evil)
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. (Praise him for his kingdom, power and glory--forever)
Amen."
These are only four verses of what Jesus said. Read them. Ask God for understanding of how to pray only for God's perfect will--and NOT our will. We can also ask that God change our will to desire His will.
When someone prayers intensly for their own will to be done many christians call this a "soulish" or fleshly prayer.
Other christians even believe that this can send forth an evil force--a demon--to manipulate a situation against God's perfect will. These are serious issues.
When we are not willing to forsake our own will for God's will then we know we need to ask God for acceptance, understanding and wisdom. We need to ask God for help to release every situation and person into His hands.
I hope this helps both of you.

you would be better off praying to dr.phil or even praying to jerry springer atleast they are real. religion is mythology. god is a fictitious character. religion is a belief system primitive humans have about fictitious characters inorder to explain the unknown. in other words if it's beyond their explanation it must be 'magic' or 'spiritual'.
Santa is returning soon, are you prepared?!
