(Its a hard thing to describe) Like you fly through your day doing stuff youre not even sure you like, doing stuff you know you dont like, but are led to believe are necessary. And so finally at the end of the day you come home and you dont feel right, like theres a hole inside of you and you dont know how to fill it. Does anybody else feel this way? How do you fix it? Thanks

actually the problem could be easily fixed by keeping a close account of ur daily irritants in a day work, i mean to say what all u r doing or performing in ur office in fact u don't leave there (office) this seems u r very career conscious though one should take career very seriously but not at stake of Ur well being(health), So what u should daily do after returning from ur daily business routine work :-

1. leave the office tension there and come head free of theses rubbish.
2. Take immediate Nap or yoga exercise
3 listen to music
4 go for outing

yes, it's because of our stupid lifestyle. we are only on this earth for a short time and we fly through it killing ourselves to make sure we get our housepayment in on time, keep the lawn neat, shining up our too-expensive cars, running here, running there....makes me tired just to type it.

i know i need to sloooow down, stop and smell the roses, and enjoy my children while i am young.

life is unfulfilling without God. Belief in eternal life makes you think about things of heaven. that helps fill in the hole. :)

Yes, i do feel that way from time to time. i get out of it by distracting myself by reading a good book, doing a hobby that i can use my hands or play with my cats for an hour. only you can fill that hole in you.

After our daughter was first born I felt like I was just going through the motions because everything seemed hectic.

But that only lasted about 2 months......that's never happened since then......and she's 22 years old now.

Yep I been their too! Slow down, take a breath and start over. if that doesn't work, then at the end of your day, dwell on what you did, where you went and how it made you feel, have a good night sleep, and the next morning start your day over again.

I do feel this way everyday. I don't know how to fix it. Are you sure you don't suffer from depression? I do, I know that is part of it.

This is actually very common for people who suffer from anxiety disorders and/or depression. You might make an appointment with your family doctor and have a very frank, honest discussion with him/her about your feelings.

well sometimes it is great if you can detach from yourself and view Life from a purely neutral perspective.
i love coming home from work as its my time and i explore hobbies and learning.
