Reason doesnt contradict revelation.
"To understand Locke's position it is essential to understand that revelation is an "enlargement" of rational knowledge, but it can never be contrary to reason. There are no divine revelations which contradict reason, because God is a rational being. God is the supreme rational being. For example, it cannot be revealed that 2 + 2 = 5, or that squares have three sides, or anything which is a contradiction of the principles of reason. The way we know a revelation truly comes from God is by that fact that it can be proven by reason. Being thus verifiable, revelation is a legitimate source of knowledge."

I wish ! I suck at math .
As a Christian I am not against logic-not everything is logical.
You just take some things on faith.
Mr. Samurai Jack , how do you know you are reading the typing of a wonderfully smart ,drop dead gorgeous super model And not KO KO the gorilla !LOL

Does it seem logical to you that your great great ( too many greats to mention) Granpa was an amoeba?! Or that the air you're breathing just popped up out of nowhere?! How about the "fact" that we just happen to live on the only planet in the solar system that can support our life?! God made everything, you'll see that someday, whether you believe it or not, Samurai Jack. By the way, it's against the rules of conduct to say hateful things like this against us Christians.

Try to get this through your thick head.
If you receive the Holy Spirit at the time that you give yourself to God in trust, you are not being logical if you deny it.
You don't know anything about what this does to a person. You don't know what kind of changes are done to a person who has everything they thought they knew turned upside down.
You are being logical, but according to the kind of thinking of those who never had this thing happen to them. It's short of God's logic. He brings it when He reveals Himself to a person.
I really, really hope that even 1/10th of what I just wrote made sense to you.

Not only Xtians and Muslims,Budha and Logic faithful followers can be abusive of free souls or soulless beings.
Do not wonder if resentments are against them too.

It just surprises me how some people can generalize people that way (and I'm referring to both you and the questioner linked to this question).
My answer, I never did turn against it, but sometimes even logic has limits.
Peace.

Ah. I was about to fire a broadside, but fortunately I looked at your link first. OK - you're entitled to this one.
Edit: We mathematicians are not generally nomadic, but we do tend to wander a lot.

Its Dogma that causes them to think that way. They were raised as children to believe god i s so real thatt they would question the idea of defying him as mucha s we would question the idea of placing your hand in a bladesaw.
