And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. -- Numbers 31:15-18

How does this bible verse make you feel as a Christian woman? Or even as a Christian man? Why would this ever be considered okay?

The Lord, God, told us that we all can know Him without men having to teach us. Do you think that's the real problem with religions and religious people not understanding that ?

God will teach and reveal to whom He will revealed; and until then, men searches, talk and debate in vain concerning Him

What say you all ?

In Iraq the vast majority of the murderous rampage is being conducted by islamofascist terrorists who are murdering other muslims, and American troops are trying to stop the murders.
What would liberals do to stop the murders?

Just because someone is more religious than another or part of your religion does that make them a "better" person than anyone else?

Why do many people say that religious people and people of their religions are better people and non religious and people of different faiths are wrong?

Why can they not accpet that they just have different beliefs?

Why does one need religion to come up with morals and values?

Can you not learn those just by living life and interacting with others and forming your own opinions or following what you want?

Why do many people feel that people need religion to tell them these things and that no one can learn moral and values on their own?

I am a religious person but I am wondering what do people say things like "You are evil because you are not Christian" (just an example)

I grew up in Roman Catholocism, but have, within the past year, realized that I do not agree with the idea of organized religion. I am very spiritual, but I do not go to church, follow religious laws/commandments, etc. However, I am signed up for my weekly youth group. I enjoy being with my friends, and I like discussing my viewpoints. However, I do not want to go against my own morals and beliefs. Would I be completely contradicting myself by attending?

I understand that this has caused hatred, deaths, war amongst people for centurys. Also, I heard that religion is man-made and is never mentioned in the bible. So why do so many people have a religion?

Question for all: Not just believers.

I have watched that show A Haunting (I think I've seen most if not all of the episodes so far; CREEPY!!!)

I don't know if I believe in that stuff, but the more episodes I watch, the more I start to and wonder if I didn't grow up in a haunted house (built before 1920, one family owned it, son died in a motorcycle accident) just 'cause of some similarities I've seen related in that show (plenty of unexplained noises, sleep paralysis, ferocious dreams, most about our attic).

So, I'm just wondering if anyone else believes in ghosts, demons, etc.?

I have stories, one I'll put a link to (I answered a Q a while back; mine is an answer; happened at a different house, though, but SCARY!! May take a minute to find.)

I was just curious if anyone out there identified themselves as a Noahide or a Ben or Bas Noach (basically, someone who follows the God of Avraham but is not a Jew, Christian, or Muslim).

If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can check out the following links:

Many of you say you are more intelligent than theists; in fact, some of you call us stupid, idiots, etc. Albert Einstein is known as the greatest mind the world has ever known yet he was humble enough to believe in a God.

The last time I posted this question my question was not answered. Instead, there was a debate on whether Einstein was a theist or not. Here are some quotes from Einstein, which I got from the web, which should settle the issue. So now please answer my question.

Science without Religion is lame.
Religion without Science is blind. Einstein

"The harmony of natural law reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection." Einstein

I would like you to join me, in a sincere and honest feeling of sadness for Lady Saphira. i used to get very angry at her comments. but as i have read them i have come to realize that she is not jsut a troll, but someone that actually believes what she says. this type of energy cannot be good for anyone. it robs the very soul of it's inate beauty. I would find it disrespectful to say pray for her, but try to wish her and her family well. Positive action creates positive energy. and that creates a positive person.

so that this is a question...what did you have for dinner, and did it have any spiritual meaning to you?
