As far as I can find out in history books, Hitler was baptized and a Christian throughout the first world war. After that point, his life becomes a mish-mosh of propaganda about the Nazi party.

First of all, I am Jewish and have great problems with the concept of "If Hitler had accepted Jesus at the end of his life then he was saved". He killed 6 million people. You don't walk away from that.
Second, he did not profess to be a Christian. He grew up one but turned away. He subscribed to the religion of nationalism.
How can one be forgiven for the murder of 6 million people?

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so" [Adolph Hitler to Gen. Gerhard Engel, 1941]

Though it is still unclear if the 'sin offering of Jesus' will have any bearing on the 'Day of Judgement'. Many Christians CLAIM that their transgressions have been cleansed by such a sin offering, but none of the gospels detail the ceremonies involved in a perpetual sin offering.

Though under the Laws of Sacrifce, sacrificing a human as a sin offering was deemed an abomination, as was offering up such sacrifice upon HIGH PLACES, like Mt. Calvary. Further more, when the legioneer pierced the side of 'Jesus' and his blood split out upon the mount--under the law, it would have TAINTED the sacrifice if we would overlook the first two violations.

One also should remember that no man can pronouce JUDGEMENT concerning the nature of another's soul---that is the sole province of the SPIRIT on the 'Day of Judgement'. Granted, many christians like to let god take a 'backseat' in this area. Christians like to bear witness that they have been 'saved', while all those that do not bow to the idols and precepts are 'condemned'. Truth is they are bearing 'false witness' since the 'Day of Judgment' has not yet pass.

Even 'Jesus' said that by saying that he is your Lord, doesn't get you a 'get out of hell free card'. Matthew 7:21-23 If one truly is a follower of 'Jesus', then his message in Matthew 19:17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments" would apply.

For even 'Jesus' said that the LAWs of God stand until heaven and earth pass away. Matthew 5:18-19

Though Christians alone are not guilty of such abominaitons against the SPIRIT. In hosea and Habakkuk, we learn of the 'sons of ephraim'--the Canaanites, they venerated a stick of wood, offered up human sacrifice upon high places--like MT Calvary, used human sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, and relished in their sin. Hab 2:16 the cup from the Lord’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.

All we can really do is live our lives as they unfold. Choosing what we choose, learning from our mistakes, cleaning up our messes, and being true to ourselves. For all will give an account of themselves upon the 'Day of Judgement'.

"I will judge each of you according to his own ways."

No, just so you know. Hitler personally wasn't Christian, he lived in a Christian state, but had already put things in motion to dissolve the Christian institutions. He had his own Germanic pagan beliefs that stemmed from the folklore of Germany, it's where he pulled a lot of symbols from, including the swastika.

Hitler believed he was a christian. Who are we to say what he was or wasn't.

It is all about his "personal" relationship with god and jesus.

If he thought he was a christian, then he was.
