no.
Deuteronomy 7:. Your eye must not feel sorry for them;

Deuteronomy 13:, 8 you must not accede to his wish or listen to him, nor should your eye feel sorry for him, nor must you feel compassion, nor cover him [protectively]

Deuteronomy 19:. 13 Your eye should not feel sorry for him, and you must clear away the guilt of innocent blood out of Israel, that you may have good.

Deuteronomy 19:. 21 And your eye should not feel sorry: soul will be for soul, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Ezekiel 5:I myself also am the One that will diminish [you] and my eye will not feel sorry and I myself also will not show compassion.

Ezekiel 7:4 And my eye will not feel sorry for you, neither will I feel compassion, for upon you I shall bring your own ways, and in the midst of you your own detestable things will come to be;

Ezekiel 7:. 9 Neither will my eye feel sorry nor shall I feel compassion. According to your ways shall I do the bringing upon you yourself, and your own detestable things will come to be right in the midst of you;

Ezekiel 8:18 "And I myself also shall act in rage. My eye will not feel sorry, neither shall I feel compassion. And they will certainly call out in my ears with a loud voice, but I shall not hear them.”

Ezekiel 9:5 ......“Pass through the city after him and strike. Let not your eye feel sorry, and do not feel any compassion. 6 Old man, young man and virgin and little child and women YOU should kill off—to a ruination. But to any man upon whom there is the mark do not go near, and from my sanctuary YOU should start.”

Ezekiel 9:’ 10 And as for me also, my eye will not feel sorry, neither shall I show compassion. Their way I shall certainly bring upon their own head.”

Ezekiel 24:. 14 I myself, Jehovah, have spoken. It must come, and I will act. I shall not neglect, neither shall I feel sorry nor feel regret. According to your ways and according to your dealings they will certainly judge you,

God does not feel sorry for those who reject his ways, and he has made it abundantly clear that we should not either.

Absolutely not. Aside from the fact that I personally think feeling sorry for someone because of the conclusions they have come to is patronizing and prideful, my religion encourages questioning and doesn't require conformity of thought.

People can believe whatever they want. What's important is how they act in the world. No murdering, stealing, raping, etc.

Judaism lists seven commandments that a non-Jew is held responsible for upholding, and none of them require believing the same things we do. They are:

1) Don't worship idols (this does not include paying respect to a concept a statue represents as a Buddhist does)
2) Do not curse the Creator (this necessitates acknowledgment that He exists as well as denial of His greatness or goodness)
3) Do not murder
4) Do not commit immoral sexual acts (this is different from the mere "no adultery" of the ten commandments as it includes rape and incest)
5) Do not steal (as opposed to the "do not kidnap" of the ten commandments)
6) Pursue Justice (set up a court system to uphold laws - no lynching or vigilante justice)
7) Don't eat flesh taken from a live animal

I only feel sorry for the ones that are not happy in their religion. And not always for them. Mostly I feel bad about the children who are being raised to believe that they are supposed to believe something truly irrational. I remember what mental gymnastics I went through in making that attempt. I never really got the whole thing about "faith." To me, religion is what inspires awe. I am not in awe of that which I cannot believe is true.

i'm atheist and without religion. i sometimes feel sorry for people that are in a religion and have never even thought about not having a religion. my experiences with religion were not good, they were restrictive and i think that's sad. but if they are truly happy, then good for them.

No, I feel happy for those who follow a religion that fits their personal beliefs. It's those who go pray to a God they don't believe in out of pressure to conform to their society is who I feel sorry for.

i feel sorry for people that follow a religion just because it allows them to hate someone else.

as for what religion you follow. i do not care as long as you are happy and you allow others to be happy.

No, I don't have a religion. I do feel sorry for those who follow one, or are followers period; happy is a relative term, and few are as happy as they pretend to be.

Not at all.

I do sometimes feel sorry/sad for people who feel the need to make others wrong in order to feel right, regardless of what religion they follow, though.

Every person already is born with their own understanding within them.

It's not for anyone to force their way or beliefs upon anyone else - that would be embracing a lie.

Live and let live - nobody truly knows who is right because nobody possesses infinite wisdom - all we can do is just care for one another, not cause unjust or undue suffering, bear up under strain with calm dignity and order and protect our children and other innocent ones.

The same happened during the flood the people received warning but they were happy with their life, this is not about been happy it is a matter of life, if truly worshippers are telling the truth then we are living the last hours prior armagedon.

2 Peter 3:3 " For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”

It is my belief that we are all here to learn specific life lessons, therefore, we are not to pity or have sympathy for people who are walking a different path. It is ok to empathize and have compassion, but we know not what lessons they are here to overcome in this lifetime.
As for those people who believe differently then i do, that is ok with me. I believe that love and tolerance is in order here to allow everyone to practice their own spiritual practices as they wish....
But just because a person does not believe as i do, does not make either my belief or theirs any less valid or any better then the other.

Blessed Be
