I will give a mans point of view.
How can this not be understood by saying stay pure a Virgin until marriage? I is very clear but by trying to twist this and hint that once married than they are no longer pure is a sick way of twisting a very good thing from the point of veiw of God, to safe sex and no AIDS from others who changes partners like changing under wear. To the vary fact that a woman and I will say a man who can wait and save this for only one they hope to live with for the rest of their life will build a bond that has a chance to last. With out the emotional baggage that come from being a fling. If you wish t find a way to justify your actions you cant. If you feel guilt than this is a start. If you are just trying to put people down for having and living a good life then you may have a self esteem issue that you should seek help with.
Life is full of making mistakes but to correct them you must start with your self.

This doesn't answer your question exactly, but it's a statement I'd like to make:
I do not like Battlecry. I think it brainwashes children. I think that they are focusing on ENTIRELY the wrong message. They rail against premarital sex, but a lot of the girls wear very heavy makeup and suggestive clothes. They spend time denouncing "World culture", but their message is brought to youth by using whatever is currently considered "in"... skateboarding, rock music, etc... How can you say that the children should denounce it all, but they should also use it as a form of worship? Pick one or the other!
Now that I am done ranting, feel free to make with the thumbs down, and with telling me that I strayed from the topic at hand. I'll love ya anyway.

Battlecry doesn't make girls promise, btw. It's our decision. Battlecry supports it.... and it means those girls realize sex was MADE FOR marriage. Sex is for marriage and to make two people one. Which is why gays can't have it and which is why they should not be married. And no one report this, as I made a reasonable point, and it's a non rude opinion... though you may thumb it down.

No, it means that the girls who voluntarily make this pledge wish to keep their virginity for their husbands.
With all the problems promiscuity causes, I wonder why anyone would have a problem with that?

Marriage is God's law ,so we can remain sexually pure.
A wife who is only with her husband is as pure as a virgin who is faithful to God's law.

these are the same kind of blanket laws that legislators suffering from sloth foist upon the system . the ability to not oversimplify is the kind of discernment that is needed to avoid the problems that this kind of thinking causes.
