I was just curious if anyone out there identified themselves as a Noahide or a Ben or Bas Noach (basically, someone who follows the God of Avraham but is not a Jew, Christian, or Muslim).

java,
Since both of the commandments you mentioned, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself, come from the Hebrew Bible, how can accepting the sacrifice of a man not to be born for thousands of years after their command be required for them to be observed?

All humanity are Noahide. Whether the person believes in the concept of the 7 Laws of Noah or not does not matter. G-d will judges his/her conduct on those principles. Thankfully, the two religions that have come out of Judaism>> Christianity and Islam are built on the 7 Laws of Noah, even if they, themselves, don't recognize that reality.

I am a non jew and a christian. I know that these 7 laws were all that were expected from the gentiles (non jew). But as a christian, I also know that the two commandments in the New Testament, Love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor as yourself means that if you follow these two, you will automatically live in such a way that you follow all the other commandments and laws because your first love is the Father and one's desire should be to love Him. How? By acting out the laws and commandments from the heart. And the only way one can do that is if they have been transformed spiritually. Born again. I assume that there alot of people that aren't jew, christian or muslim that follow these laws without even realizing it because maybe they are just genuinely kind and thoughtful and know that these ways are the right way to behave morally even if they haven't been born again... without them even kowing the noahide laws.

Sorry, I was born a Jew, live as a Jew and will die a Jew. I do have a friend who is a Noahide and he is an odd duck. He follows the laws of Judaism but is not Jewish. He does not want to go through the formal process which would require circumcision since he was not circumcised as a baby. That and the amount of study seem to hold him up from the formal conversation process.

Wow! I didn't realize they were still around!

I knew about the Laws of Noah, and I knew about their pre-Jewish faith.
