On Dec. 24,Sirius (Star in the East) is aligned with the 3 brightest stars in Orion Belt, also referred to as the 3 Kings. On Dec. 25 the Sun rises and is in perfect alignment with all 4 stars. Could this be the origination of the story of the Birth of Christ? The 3 Kings follow the Star in the East to witness the Birth of the Son of God.

The Consellation Virgo (Virgin in Latin) is represented with the ancient glyph symbolizing the letter "M." Virgo is also referred to as the House of Bread because it rules the months of Havests Aug-Sept., and Bethlehem happens to translates to the same-House of Bread. Similar to the story of the Son of God being born of a Virgin named "M"ary in Bethlehem?

Is it right to use cybernetics, genetic modification etc. to change ourselves into super-humans and conquer death. I know it's still a hypothetical, but few people realise just how close we actually are to this. Conservative estimates say we'll have a "cure" for aging within 15 or 20 years, and the first bionic people are here now.

And if you think it isn't right, wouldn't you have to agree that modern medicine, transfusions, prosthetics, nutrition, surgery and the like are already crude forms this? And couldn't you also say that we've always attempted this using alchemy, yoga, western magic etc?

By the way, this movement is called Transhumanism. Well worth researching.

Why do I get dumb answers to intelligent questions? Why doesn't yahoo answers let you respond to them? And why do evolutionists and atheists all seem to mimic eachother? The brain is the only organ in the body that is capable of sleeping, therefore dreams don't take place in the brain. They take place in the mind, the brain of the soul. That is why most people have a hard time remembering their dream when they wake up. And I never known anything that can be at rest and at unrest at the same time. So if the brain doesn't sleep, then what is it that does? A: THE MIND. Which is why a person can be brain-dead, yet live. It is why some people who are in a coma can hear. Humans have a soul that once existed and communicated in Heaven. Therefore, humans knew there was someting in other humans capable of understanding, thus came language. God gave animals an artificial soul that didn't exist prior, but one capable of dreaming. Insects have no soul and therefore don't dream.

This question is to the 83% of of Americans who claim to be Christian. Those with a hate message or mockery for Christians, please do not reply.

Californication is the name of a new Showtime TV show. It comes with the warning, "Adult content, graphic language, nudity."

Is the church so completely apostate that Christians have lost the Bible's moral compass? Or maybe a better question is why do so many people call themselves Christians?

These shows are created because they are what the public wants. Yet the public claims to be mostly made up of Christians. We all know what's wrong with this picture, so how did it happen? Are we a much, much smaller group than claimed?

I was watching the documentry on CNN yesturday, "Gods Christian Warriors". I am not sure of the mans name but, I believe he's a reverend. He calls himself the Christian Zionist, because he believed both the Torah and the Bible are true words of God. He even has a church that he built, with the replica of the "wailing wall". He says that Christians believe God promises Isreal to the Jews, in the Bible.

I just wanted to know your thoughts and opinions.. and if what he said is true, because I have been studying the Bible and haven't encountered such a thing yet. So, correct me if i'm wrong.

When South Africa was still practising apartheid, what did those white Christians react to this unchristian law? I think they still sang all the hymns and claimed that they love others as Jesus loves them every Sunday in church.

In Luke 4:41, Jesus refused to be called the Son of God by demons. Do you think that Jesus would rebuke the demons, or anyone else for that matter, for telling the truth? Unquestionably, no! Jesus rebuked the demons because they were saying something false by calling him the Son of God. Also, if the demons knew that Jesus was the Christ, for Jesus to shut them up because they called him the Christ is a contradiction to Jesus’ mission.

I belive in God, and I do not understand why Atheists are who they are, if they have no proof to back it up. That's like a person who is really Italian saying they're really Ukrainian. What proof do they have? (Bad example, but that's all I can think of at only 13, and it's 5 AM.)

The power of God is upon us through his Holy Spirit, we don't need to put a cross on their foreheads, we don't need to sprinkle water everywhere, we don't need to chant in order to free someone with an evil spirit, they can leap and if you aren't strong enough, they can overcome you as they did with these men. All we need to do is pray and Lay Hands as Paul did, Gods power is enough, Human Tradition isn't.

I accidently posted this question in the gay section so i'm going to repost it. If more than 50% of people are having premaritial sex(I'm sure its higher than that), and even some people in my church group are having prematiital sex can I do it to? Will I go to hell even though I can resisit the temptation? Even if I ask god later to forgive me but i could easily have not sinned? If Hitler can murder all those people and ask for forgiveness, can I have some fun with my girls in my bed? I may never get married and then i would really regret it. Speaking of affairs and sex, look at how many great men of the bible that have been brought down because of sex. lol. If Abraham can have and affair can't I sleep with some women?

I mean, no matter what the causes are for you to commit suicide? what if you die to save a bigger group of people, like for example, placing yourself in the way of a bullet.
Or what if you live your life to help others, and one day you just decide to take your own life?
Doesn't make sense you go straight to hell for commiting suicide if you're good at heart.
