The very people that set up the system were christians. The inventor of the system was a christian...the goverment of that time was christian based. The white christians of that time were enjoying the benefits like the rest of them.

though i'm not familiar with the situation, i'm sure that white christians do not have an organized stance on that issue. we live in a society with individuals. as such, we have individual views. sometimes, we need patronize to get a point across. now is one of those times. heh.

Most Christians probably didn't know about it, especially in the U.S., because our news media (most of which are NOT Christians) didn't report it.
Most PEOPLE are ignorant of what goes on outside the borders of their own country, unless it directly involves their country.

there are christian missionaries down there tryring to help the victims....and in Darfur and uganda and other places....they are there buying back slaves from muslim slave traders, so the people can have their freedom...we are already there....how many atheists do you think are there?
