I belive in God, and I do not understand why Atheists are who they are, if they have no proof to back it up. That's like a person who is really Italian saying they're really Ukrainian. What proof do they have? (Bad example, but that's all I can think of at only 13, and it's 5 AM.)

You state that they have no proof to back up that god doesn't exist. I'm sorry but I have yet to meet a believer that could prove that their god did exist. The bible is a nice work of fiction not proof. You are only 13 and still have a lot of living to do. I don't push my religion on anyone, just keep an open mind and don't take everything you hear from one group of people as proof that anything is true. Do the research and come up with your own conclusions.

When a person who is really Italian saying he/she is really Ukrainian would have to back it up with proof that he/she is an Ukrainian and not an Italian and not telling people proof to him / her that he/she is not a Ukrainian.

(Which is precisely what you are doing .... first you claim there is god, then you ask other people to proof there is no god....... it is akin to : An Italian telling someone he is an Ukrainian, proof to him he is not an Ukrainian)

Similarly, a person who say there is god will be required to show proof there is god. You cannot ask a person to show proof of non-existence things. Like for example, how do you show proof that the Tooth Fairy does not exist? How do you proof that Ninja Turtle does not exist?

No way, especially it is back up with blind faith. If you hypnotise yourself enough, you will even believe Mutant Teenage Ninja Turtle is a god.

And for shaolt2002, yes, it is the "You can't proof a negative" argument ..... it is definitely more logical then the "you can't proof a positive" argument christians is advocating ... as in "You cannot proof god existed as you have to believe in him first before he show you he existed. Therefore you have to have faith in him that he existed then try to find if he existed" .... stupid circular logic if I should say so myself.

The proof is in the lack of proof. Atheists believe that because "believers" can't produce any substantial proof that confirms there is no God. The bible doesn't count as proof until someone can substantially prove the bible is true. I personally believe nobody has any real idea where there is or isn't, and the whole world would be a much better place if everyone would stop arguing about it.

LOGIC. Everyone parades around singing and dancing about thier religion when they foget about physics and other logical facts. Your completely right, what proof DO they have that god does not exist....BUT, What proof do YOU have that he DOES exist? I don't have a religion. Religion in my opinion is a really bad thing that started since the dawn of civilisation and has been the cause of every single war this world has seen. As for all this god existing or not, I say he doesn't. Him nor Mohammed and all the rest...
Everyone knows that walking on water is IMPOSSIBLE and I don't care what anyone else says, they can go and try to proove it possible and come out of thier ridicoulous task having only prooven that thier idea was rathar silly and was bound to fail. The same goes for these lights that light up when god is supposedly with you, there for they are eternaly on. Sure, we have the bible... but now we've evolved and we've got something else: ELECTRICITY.

I hope I've prooven that religion isn't worth a bother,
I respect EVERYONE for thier beliefs but to go as far as sitting with your hands clasped, praying to save somebody goes, that is really silly. Don't you think driving them to the hospital might be a little bit more effective???

I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings but thier are facts that people, simply refuse to believe. There are stories in the bible that ARE, whether we like to admit it or not, a bunch of FICTION that can't be achieved or prooved at all.
I could write that pigs COULD ,once, fly. Would anyone believe me? OF COUSE NOT!

Hope I helped.

"That's like a person who is really Italian saying they're really Ukrainian" Um not really.
You have no proof to back up your belief in god, how can you possibly say that, "I belive in God, and I do not understand why Atheists are who they are, if they have no proof to back it up" LOL. Are you for real? Seriously, you are right that is a bad example, because it is totally wrong.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. You, as the one making the positive claim need to be the one offering proof why you believe in such a fairy tale.

It would be like me saying there's a dragon living in my garage. But you can't see him, feel him or measure him in any way but he's there. You have to believe that he's there before he will show himself to you and he doesn't actually appear to physically. He just makes himself known in some quiet way in your mind which nobody else can feel unless they too truly believe he's there.

If I were the one saying this, would I not have to supply proof that such a thing exists before you'd believe me? Or would you simply accept it based on my word and everybody else in the world that has known this invisible, intangible dragon.

Now once you answer that, taking into mind that I know this dragon exists, how is my delusion any different than yours and your belief in god?

Atheists come in different flavours. The most common is that they haven't seen or felt any evidence for God, so they don't believe.

If you haven't seen any evidence for, say, the Celtic deity Oghma, then you assumedly don't believe, right?

Absence of belief doesn't need 'proof'.

I am measured against other people having faith in Muslim/Christian God. I am without their belief. I get called names by them, atheist, sinner, unbeliever, infidel, kufar, etc etc.

I am just me. So how can you say I am a Christian,Muslim,Hindu, Ukrainian etc *in denial* when I am just me?

As I was born, a human who loves life and explores all possibilities with a clear heart and mind, and who hasn't found a religious 'belief' which she believes!

Just FYI

You cannot prove a negative...

Prove that aliens DON'T exist... Prove that I DON'T lie...

Those things are impossible to do, for the most part. If an Alien is standing in front of me, I am an idiot to deny his existence. If one isn't or never has, then there is no proof that he doesn't exist. I can theorize that his existence is possible or impossible but cannot prove that something that isn't PROVEN doesn't exist.

What tangible proof do you have that god exists? None, it is blind faith. The only prrof you have is a book written around 2000 years ago by humans which was highly edited by Emporer Constantine who only converted to suit himself politically and financially. He left out books and made changes to suit his empire. If you want proof then it is easy enough to find on the internet. If there was proof then everyone would be christian! And as for your example, if an Italian were go and live in the Ukraine then they would receive a Ukrainian passport thus making them Ukraine on paper.

There is no proof of no God simply because there is no God, how can you possibly imagine there could be evidence of a thing that does not exist. It is logic that dictates most of our minds, such logic that you flee away from (not trying to be rude but honest, when was the last time that you actually logically and skeptically looked at your religion, I assure you if you had done so you would also be an atheist).
