i hear this from liberals and it doesn't make since to me. if all religions are true then when i die i will go to christian heaven, muslim hell, sease to exsist, reencarnated, and beamed up into a space ship behind the comit hail bob. They can't be all correct. So instead of patronising everybody with this post-modern relativism bull-****, we should debate and communicate our beleifs because only one can be correct.

2+2=4, no other answer is correct.

Shouldn't the Atheists, "wiccans" and their ilk be in "Mythology" or something? Is their only reason to be in here to insult and defame?

I want to know: How would you like it if instead of responding to your questions with a logical arguement designed to refute or support your claim we simply asserted that you were being ridiculous and that you needed to have faith? The fact is: you'd hate it, more than we would even, as we've gotten fairly used to it at this stage.

To all who received him, to those who believe in his name, he
gave the right to become children of God -- children born not of
natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but
born of God.

Aren't men and women of god supposed to be humble? The minister who lives down the street from my sister-in-law has a 400,000 dollar house, 3 cars(one of which is a Caddilac), a motorcycle, and who knows what else. I'm not religious so this boggles my mind.

was it due to pressure from her other JWs to not "bring shame on Jehovah?"

What a shame she feels she can't openly ask the questions on her mind.. without retribution.

I have noticed that a lot of atheist's questions posed have the words "scared" or "afraid" in them. Why do you think they are so frightened? Or if you are an atheist, are you generally afraid?

Every time I ask one, I get people saying "That would never happen". Whether it would happen is irrelevant - it probably won't. The point is that hypothetical questions cause you to think about your views in new ways. It makes you examine your belief system to see if it holds up even in odd situations.

I just read a response to another question where a woman claimed she "always" submits to her husband in every situation. Is there any exception to this? What if your husband makes a decision that you think is really bad, even wrong? Will you speak up? Will you still submit because in the end he's the man therefore he has the authority?
