Ok everyone. Ive been reading some of these questions and some of your answers are rediculous. So I just wanted to know why or why dont you believe in Jesus Christ? I am a Christian. And If you dont like that, sorry cause we are going to take over todays generation.

Atheists tend to disprove God by saying: "Well, if God created everything, then what created God?" However, they then say that the Big Bang simply happened, with no prior cause. (Or if they do give you a prior cause, the question remains.... what was that cause's cause?) Atheists usually respond by saying "that question is meaningless, time did not exists before the Big Bang." (Or to quote Stephen Hawking, it's like saying "What's North of the North Pole.", or they say that the Universe has existed eternally. Don't both these arguments apply equally as well to God as to the Big Bang? Asking "what happened before God" Doesn't a theoretical God transcend the limits of space and time as much as a mysterious Big Bang does? And God could as easily be eternal as the universe.

Anyway, I'm wondering what I've overlooked in this argument. Also, please make no assumptions about me or my beliefs. Thank you.

The earliest human bones to have ever been found are neanderthal's bones...ape-like humans with VERY small brains. If these small brained people represent the earliest human form, shouldn't Adam and Eve be forgiven their mistakes in the Garden of Eden?

I'm mormon and i have heard some crazy things people have said about that are just plain lies. i mean if you don't understand it fine but when you lie about it people who maybe want to join here lies and then don't join. we aren't all that bad.

What I mean by this is, yes it's one thing to label yourself an Atheist on yahoo answers but are you willing to tell your entire family/friends ect, know that you are an Atheist? Or are you afraid of Social reaction? Also based on where you live in the country are you afraid to be an Atheist, I myself live in Texas and have been threatened by so called "God Fearing Christians". Anyone have similar experiences?

Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Come on, birth control is a sin? It was a fine system for the Middle Ages or poor ignorant 3rd world countries, but I think it is imcompatible with modern society.

Why do athiests get mad and uptight with Christians when they ask serious questions on here? Don't get me wrong I have nothing against anybody, but why do some athiests and such get mad about these things? So what, certain people believe...they're allowed to have their own opinions just as you are. I suppose I can understand how Non-Christians think that those who believe go off their rocker and try to preach to the masses. That can get a little strange. But for those of us who believe and keep to ourselves, not trying to change anybody or push Christianity on anybody---why do we get bitched at for posting in the Religion and Spirituality section? Isn't that what it's here for?

I'm just curious, i don't intend to belittle your beliefs as I myself am quite interested in what you teach. I just want some things clearing up that I do not understand.

Do you believe Jesus is a title or a name? I ask this because Matthew 1:21 says:

"She will give birth to a son, and you must call his name Jesus" (Matthew 1:21)

And why does he have many names, like Michael the archangel?

Another thing that confused me is that in Isaiah 7:14, the prophecy of Jesus being born of a virgin it says she [Mary] will call him Immanuel.

"Therefore the LORD himself will give YOU men a sign: Look! The maiden herself will actually become pregnant, and she is giving birth to a son, and she will certainly call his name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14)

Why are the names different if Jesus himself said "All the things written in the law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms about me much be fulfilled." (Luke 24:44)

Hypethetical Question - Wouldn't be surprised if it happened though.

We wake the day after the elections and one of our new President's first orders is that all Bibles need to be turned in and destroyed. If you are caught in posession of a Bible the penalty will be death. What will you do?

1) Disobey the mandate, keep your Bible, and risk death.
2) Obey the Authorities and turn in your Bible.
3) Do something else.

My computer is new, and its always freaking on me. It always has pop-ups, it goes wack and turns off on me...I dont know why..The only sites I visit is just this one, Myspace and my msn...I dont click on any pop ups or anything...so what gives? I dont want any viruses or anything...But I dont get how this can happen, if Im a careful person when it comes to the internet. And im really not dumb on the computer. I had 2 years of classes on it..High school, but still...

IS THE ONLY WAY TO EDUCATE A MUSLIM AS TO HOW EVIL THEIR RELGION IS. to give them a taste of stoning, hanging etc?


ie so many think its right for people to be stoned to death or hung for dating, or have limbs amputated in sharia alw.

Would they still think the same way if say and finger or hand was hacked off... letting them enjoy the view for a bit then sewn back up. Done in such a way that the nerves fix up again.


Then to most vital parts covered and a say 10 or 15 second session of stoning, carried out. Enough to cuase intense pain.


Then maybe hung till almost unconcious.


All so they can recover not forgetting a flogging. All leaving a few scares as reminders.


If all those supporting islam and thinking that oh im 15 who cares I will support islam and well they should not have made love outside marriage etc.


Were given a taste of this... maybe even genitally mutilating girls supporting this where labias are sliced off if then can be reattached.
