Maybe it has something to do with the fact that no one in their right mind would want to serve a cruel deity that just makes up the rules as he goes like some crazed Roman emperor.
or it could be because there is no god and that the god presented in the bible is so full of inconsistencies that its not even funny after a while.

But sin is not crime. You cannot easily define sin, and you certainly cannot be sure whether a person has committed any sins. Yet you will insist that ALL people (all those lovely people you have never met) are sinners and therefore doomed.
Well, let me tell you, I am a lovely and moral guy and if you even suggest I have sinned I will sue you for libel. You just cannot go around smearing people's characters - its nasty.

Why can't people put up a good argument without "waah waah waah" in it...it only makes you look like a fool who is ranting..
Oh wait, you are!

A lot of people in the public eye have been getting away with things lately.
Maybe they think that if movie stars and members of the Bush administration aren't held accountable for wrongdoing, why should I be?

The "Sin" and the "Punishment" would be automatically written in one's account-similarly an act of "Benevolence' and :reward" also would be written. At the end (Sampraapthi) the Paapa Samyam (balance-- Reward(minus)-Sin) would be worked out and heaven or hell would be decided whether one likes it or not.(the Doctrine of Karma) God has created the LAW in such away thet even GOD Himself can not tamper the Law made by HIM.

Well, Jethro, it's actually like complaining because I committed a crime and got my jewels deep fried for eternity.

Because it's silly to think that "sin" is defined by a book. Just live a good life, and don't worry about having "to pay" for it.

The best thing about most religion I've seen is you can kill someone and be either forgiven or praised. (that as a worst-case scenario). Therefore we don't have to pay. Read your bible.

First of all, WHAT GOD! I know all get a lot of Christian horsehit about this, but how can people honestly believe this. I'll shove "Jesus Christ their lord and savior" up their ***. But anyways to your question: i get your point about thinking they can get away with it, but who WANTS, keyword WANTS, to be punished.
