You are the victim of those radical people first more than any non muslim in the world. Not some but many of you are innocent. The problem is we don't see those innocent ones much, and those who are the guilty one are taking front stage these days.

Did you see what happened to those Iraqi celebrating the football game! first one a car bomb, the second one shooting that killed many people.

You see those people whom you think hate the Muslims are the Muslims themselves. Sorry, But look around you and you will see it is true.
Look what is happening in Sudan. It is not the Jews or the Christians or the pagans or the Atheist who are killing, raping and enslaving these people, they are the Muslim who are doing it to their brothers and sisters Muslims.

Do you remember, or know what happened over the Cartoons of Muhammad and how many people died over those pictures. Many innocent people suffered for what some draw. How many riots broke! What kind of message did those people want to tell the world about them. Is it that they are not tolerante people, and others better watch out of they will get it!! is that the message!

What do you expect from people if you hear Some Muslims do these kind of things? killing a nun who has nothing to do with the picture only because she was a Nun, and killing a priest in Turkey for the same reason and he had nothing to do with the pictures as well.
What about the 23 Koran Hostages now two of them dead. What are they guilty of. or are they just a pawn in those Muslims hands, and where are the Peaceful Muslims to speak out against their killing and the sad reality that more might be killed.

Would this be one of the reasons?

I would describe you as a victim of Islam, not a perpetrator.

Although radical Muslims are a small minority, the percentage is still far larger than is found in the normal population. Also, in some areas it seems like the vast majority can become dangerously incited at times. Look at the magnitude of the riots over a Danish CARTOON for pete's sake. Those riots led to a lot of damage and some death.

However, all Muslims contribute to the problem in one way: they provide an umbrella under which the radical element can form, and refuse to have meaningful debate about the scripture and interpretation of the radicals. They also perpetuate the religion so that future generations will continue to have to deal with it.

But again, to the average adherent, this is all unwitting participation, and I consider most Muslims to be the primary victims of Islam.

Muslims do the same and worse to Christians.

Imagine what would happen to all Christians in Iran if one single Christian set off a bomb in a Mosque. Do you think there would be some more blind hate for all Christians?

Over all, we are a pretty tolerant people, after 9-11 there were very few instances of blind violence against Muslims, they still preach in our Schools and Prisons with freedom.

There was a big lack of trust that came with not only 9-11, but also with what the radicals are saying, and we also see bad examples when millions riot and even kill people over a cartoon drawn in Europe.

The moderate Muslims need to save the faith.

Peace be with you.

It's because of all that has happened to our country and in the war on terror. Americans see Muslims doing all these things and they think "What hypocrits! Islam isn't a religion of peace!"

I'm not saying I agree with your religion, or even values, but I do agree with the fact that hatred should be reserved for those who truly deserve it, even then, only for a short time until we forgive. People forget that just because one person does something, doesn't mean the rest are doing it (I know how you feel actually; I recently converted to Mormonism, I've had countless people in my family ask me if I was a brainwashed member of a cult, a polygamist...etc. and completely bash my choice. It's ridiculous, really. lol Whatever happened to the First Amendmen right of "Freedom of Religion"?)

Blessings to you,

Ignorance, stereotyping, ego... the same reason that people hate anyone that is different than they are. In a way, you are guilty by association. The truth is that many of the world's terrorists are fundamental Muslims. Due to the ignorance and stereotyping I mentioned, people generalize that all Muslims are like that. Other groups get the same treatment. People generalize that blacks or hispanics are all criminals because some of them are. People generalize that atheists are immoral or that Christians are all bigots. It is all a bunch of crap, and the guilty people know it, but they are prejudiced against anyone who is different than they are. Unfortunately for Muslims, they are not immune to this behavior. It is not right, but it is human nature for some. Of course, I like to think that we all have the ability to rise above it. Some people just don't choose to do so. Sad, but true. In any case, I'm a Christian, and I don't have Muslims, or any other group of people aside of bigots, in general.

unfortunately this is what religion leads to, but only ignorant people do that and not only Muslims are being hated, look at Jews, there is more hatred towered them than Muslims, people should wake up from the illusion of religion, and start to respect each other on the base of humanity regardless the religion

I think ylou should understand the word hate before you use it.
I do not beleive all muslems are hated I beleive they are just not understood. I also think that The good muslems sholud
seek out the bad and see what their problem is if they have one and help them see what they are doing is wrong,ie flying
planes in buildings, suicide bombings,if the good muslems
could reason with the bad maybee this would help. But I hate
no one.We are all equal and have very little time on our earth and need to get along with all humans and animals.Peace be with you.

I think much has been misdirected. It's the beliefs that can startle, motivate to fear and hate. We see what the some have been doing, and we find out the whys of it, and decide that is what islam really is.
I personally do not hate muslims, but I hate what they do, especially their forcing islam on people. And yes, they really do that. Not all, but enough of them to cause me to feel this way.

The only answer I have for that is complete ignorance to what Islam is really about. You should see people's reactions to me because I wear an abaya and niqab. It used to be kinda funny at first(I kinda liked going into the grocery store and everyone literally cleared the isle for me to walk through, who cares if they were staring at me the whole time, it cut my shopping time in half). Now I just find it offensive. Just on Friday night, my family had to drive about 20 min outside of Buffalo, NY. My daughter and I had to use the restroom so my husband stayed in the car with my 3 other children so we would not have to unnecessarily take out our babies. As my daughter and I were going into the store these 2 women were coming out. As a courtesy I held the door for them because they stepped back as we came walking up, thought nothing of it. I then realized I was holding the door for more then the usual couple of seconds and when I looked to see was she even reaching for the door, I noticed she was trying to hold the door without actually holding the door. She had her arm way extended and was trying to hold the door with just her thumb as she was intentionally trying to not look at me, while the other woman was staring me down giving me this look like you would not believe! I guess I was somehow in the wrong for trying to be polite and hold the door for them?

It's because radicals have hijacked and disgraced the religion of Islam. It doesn't help that radicals are the most prominent in the Middle East, the birthplace of Islam. I happen to know many moderate Muslims and strongly admire their work ethic and entrepreneurism.
