I think most preachers are....and this one might be a queer too. His make-up drenched, two-bit whore of a wife is just a cover up. Everyone knows it.

No, a lot of positive and negative has been said of Osteen. Some say he has a watered down gospel because he does not preach about hell and does not call people sinners. However, as a result many people visit his church that otherwise would not even hear anything at all about God.

Much about Joel is real. There are times when he starts to use scripture after scripture in his sermons and his words begin to flow with the psalms of david like a refreshing spring. I have to say that genuinely there are times when the Spirit of God has moved across my heart when he is preaching. He is all about forgiving and looking on the bright side of things.

He is also young, and I believe that he really does love God, despite all the sudden popularity he has obtained. Like other young preachers / ministers that I have seen, I expect Joel to get even better, to mature even more, and to continue to be a blessing to the body of Christ.

I wouldn't call him a glorified snakeoil salesman...but I did call him a "milktoast preacher" for a time. The Lord reminded me when I was the most sick, all my stomach could handle was milk toast. So perhaps, he uses Joel for those people, that aren't ready for the meat of the word. Just the milk. And if it helps reach someone, just one, than all the rest may be worth it.

He looks like a bad talk-show host from the late 80s - early 90s...that hair cut, uhg, I hate it. Anyways, I think he is a nothing! Seriously, I think he was a "good-looking" guy that had no future ahead of him and I think that there are some other pastors in the background writing all of his scripts and books for him, and slapping his face on the back of every book. Did you know: A couple of years ago Forbes reported on the Ten Largest Churches in America. The 25,000 member Lakewood Church in Houston topped the list. Soon to be finished renovations to the acquired Compaq Center (former home of the Houston Rockets) will host the ever-growing mega-church. Pastor Joel Osteen packs them in with his feel-good call to “Discover the Champion Within.”

Only blind, deaf, & hard-hearted people could possibly believe that of Joel Osteen.
Joel Osteen is not only an awesome Christian man, but he is a wonderful son, husband, father, & friend.

Why would you say that? Is it because you think that all Christians should be down all the time? Is there something about a successfully ministry that scares you?
The Bible says not to point your finger at the LORD'S anointed! Be careful with this. I know you are just trying to be cute and maybe you even think you are funny but you are in a very bad place here with this line of thinking.

Yes, he has made millions of dollars by preaching send me money and god will make you rich. Like he is God's best friend? why do you need him was my first question? Is he hollier than the average man? I don't think so, he collects money from the poor and he is rich and lives in opulance most kings do not have. several multimillion dollar mansions and summer houses. Makes billions and has done nothing with that money but spent it on himself.
When they say they build colleges and schools or medical buildings, it is very misleading you feel it is a donation.
These are all money making ventures his colleges are more expensive than the average college. So is his medical centers. Those are not charity but investments.
I think he cons the people that is fraud or extortion in the name of Christ. That to me is Blasphamy of the worst kind.
They all have fleets of personal jets and fleets of limo's
Give 10,000 birthday parties for their friends.
If someone actually wanted to help the poor we have ones in our own neighborhoods that need help. How giving money to rich people you think will get you into heaven is beyond me.

I am atheist but I actually kind of like Joel Osteen. He is very charismatic. Not charismatic enough to convert me, but charismatic none the less.
