We don't blow people up (or ourselves) unless we suffer from mental handicaps prone to violence, and that is very rare. Out of the 478 terrorist attacks in the past six months alone, source: http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/index.html#Attacks

Infidels were to blame for approximately ZERO of the total attacks, carnage and aftermath.

Why is it O.K for someone to openly say that they are against Christianity, but it is not O.K (or at least causes trouble) when someone tries to express Christianity, like disagreeing with homosexuality?

Buddhists believe that human suffering could be overcome by following a particular way of life. The first precept of Buddhism is 'non-harming' (ahimsa): Buddhists reject violence. Buddhism is clearly pacifist in its teaching and there is a heaven, sometimes called Nirvana.

1) What happened to all people who wanted to go to heaven or nirvana before Christianity?

2) Did they go to another non-christian heaven?

3) If a man murdered a buddist pacifist and then prayed for forgiveness how is it that the murderer can go to heaven and the good buddist is locked out of heaven by practicing his good and righteous religion?

What do you think of this?

"MISCONCEPTION #1:
Muslims are violent, terrorists and/or extremists.

This is the biggest misconception in Islam, no doubt resulting from the constant stereotyping and bashing the media gives Islam. When a gunman attacks a mosque in the name of Judaism, a Catholic IRA guerrilla sets off a bomb in an urban area, or Serbian Orthodox militiamen rape and kill innocent Muslim civilians, these acts are not used to stereotype an entire faith. Never are these acts attributed to the religion of the perpetrators. Yet how many times have we heard
the words 'Islamic, Muslim fundamentalist. etc.' linked with violence.

Politics in so called "Muslim countries" may or may not have any Islamic basis. Often dictators and politicians will use the name of Islam for their own purposes. One should remember to go to the source of Islam and separate what the true religion of Islam says from what is portrayed in the media.

When I was on a site minding my own business, this pop-up shows up with pictures of nude woman. According to the bible, it says if you look at a woman's body...you would be on the highway to hell. I repented, but I don't know if it could be apologized. I really need help!!!

I believe it’s philosophically impossible to be an atheist, since to be an atheist you must have infinite knowledge in order to know absolutely that there is no God. But to have infinite knowledge, you would have to be God yourself. It’s hard to be God yourself and an atheist at the same time. These are just my thoughts. Would like to know what you think. Please no swearing or name calling. I gave my opnion with NO swearing/name calling so in return I would like the same with your comments.

I have heard Creationists claim that the geologic column does not exist. They claim that the geologic column was mad up to support the theory of evolution. I love it when Creationists are wrong. The first geologic column was devised in 1860 by Adam Sedgewick, Roderick Murchison, and William Coneybeare, all of whom were Creationists who opposed the Theory of Evolution. You Creationists got screwed by your own people. lol. Oh and by the way, the complete geologic column has been found in 25 different places around the world.

Thanks!! :)

Relax. Take a deep breath. Think about what I am asking you. Then answer with nothing but the truth.

Descirption: I'm 25 years old, 97% deaf, physically challenged, weigh less than 100 pounds, smart, intelligent, drives a car, jobless, qualified for SSI, a virgin.

Now, if you were single and I approached you, would you date me?

Before you say yes to avoid from hurting me, take a deep breath again, look into your heart, try to find the true feeling of this question and answer honestly.

Thanks.

What does this say to you?

"Misconception 8
Islam is intolerant of other religions because
the Qur'an condemns the other religions as false

The Creator has taught us in the Qur'an and Sunnah that all other `religions' and ways of life are unacceptable to Him if a person is aware of Islam. The Qur'an states (translation),

[3:85] And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers.
However, even though the Creator has clearly specified that no other way of life is acceptable to Him except Islam (i.e. submission to Him as embodied in the Qur'an and Sunnah), He has also commanded the Muslims to be tolerant of people who espouse other creeds. From the Sunnah, specifically in the study of the Sunnah called Al-Awsat by Al-Tabarani, we find regarding those non-Muslims living in the Islamic state,

For example, the world has been shown to be much more than 10,000 years old, there is plenty of evidence that evolution exists, and many Old Testament stories bear strong resemblance to stories in other religions. Yet many Christians claim that fossil records are inaccurate without providing any scientific evidence to support their claims. They use no proof other than spoken word and wonder why creationism is not taught in most schools. Relying only on spoken word and scripture to discredit science makes those Christians look like they have their heads in the sand. I understand why Christians don't want to let go of their beliefs when challenged by science, but why do so many Christians stubbornly refuse to allow their beliefs to evolve alongside knowledge (like the great Saint Thomas Aquinas suggested)?
