what is it there are looking for, god, a husband,a wife or money

I go there because every time I get together with the people of God and we begin to sing songs of praise and worship to our God and His Son Jesus Christ, I experience the tangible presence of God by His Holy Spirit, and I am built up in faith and love.
Also, I go to hear the proclamation of His word in the power of the Holy Spirit, and also to enjoy the warm fellowship of the saints - those who love Him and worship in Spirit and Truth.

To have a definte place to surround yourself with people with the same beliefs. Every single group and talent has a special place to unite.If that was the case nearly all of us would not go outside. Nice to share your thoughts and opions and if you are a sinner that wants to get changed, its easier to know where to go, than stuggling on your own with non believers.
Mainly to worship God and praise him, but some people do go to church for diffrent reasons. Even some are forced to go, but thats a diffrent story.

I am a christian and according to God's word, the bible, we are supposed to take time to worship Him as a "family". Because being a christian, meaning once you have accepted Christ as your savior, you are adopted into a family of believers. Plus, going to church allows people to get to know one another, share ideas, ask questions, find answers, etc. Of course, some people go to find a spouse, but how you get money out of a church I don't know.

Fellowship with others, who are trying to learn God's word! To support each other! And if you go to Church,what good would it be to then go to a club to find a husband/wife.This should not be your main purpose,if you're going to church.It should be first ,to praise our Father,for bringing us through another week/day!And hear God's Word to learn how to be a better man/woman of God's ! Give Him glory and honor!

I'm a Christian and I don't go to church. I can't stand it. It's so fake. People are suppose to go to worship God, but instead, they go to make friends and show the world how holy they are. The altar has become a stage.

there are a lot of reasons.
some people go out of habit and because their parents went
some go to socialise
peer pressure etc
maybe some of them like the songs!
