I have heard Creationists claim that the geologic column does not exist. They claim that the geologic column was mad up to support the theory of evolution. I love it when Creationists are wrong. The first geologic column was devised in 1860 by Adam Sedgewick, Roderick Murchison, and William Coneybeare, all of whom were Creationists who opposed the Theory of Evolution. You Creationists got screwed by your own people. lol. Oh and by the way, the complete geologic column has been found in 25 different places around the world.

I don't know who told you the strata left by the eruption match the strata used to justify the theory of evoltuion, but that just isn't the case. I mean there is no other way of saying it. That's just totally wrong. They are totally different. So my assumptions are not false, so I think I will continue my college education thank you very much.

You say yourself "The Geologic column was devised." That is precisely the point.

The geologic column does not exist as devised anywhere in nature. They did not find any actual place where thecolumn exists in the proper order in the real world.

Want to see a real world example that falsifies the Geologic column? Examine the canyon created at Spirit lake. This canyon did not exist before Mt. St Helens erupted about 1980 AD.

The canyon was created by catastrophic means of volcanic eruption, settling of sediment in a short time followed by catastrophic flooding. The rock layers bear a remarkable resemblance to the Grand Canyon.

These formations which were created within months of the eruption, are identical in nature to the strata used to support the Geologic Column theory. Their existence falsifies the Geologic column.

Now, as a student of science, what do you do with theories which are based upon false assumptions?

A. Keep your falsified theories (Religion)
B. Abandon the false theories (Science)
C. Don't know (Go back to Kindergarten)

um, no. like almost all science it is a work in progress though. see for instance the International Commission on Stratigraphy (the study of rock strata including dating methods)
