In my previous question I asked about the value of life, I was told by many religious people that human life is more valuable than that of animals such as cats or dogs, and that furthermore animals (such as dogs/cats) have no soul. I was told that it is the word of God as written in the bible which says man has dominion over the animals of the earth. But I am curious.. if animals have no soul and their lives arent worth as much as human life, does that then mean animal abuse is not a sin? According to an answerer killing a human is the worst thing you can do and quote "To end an animal's life is, well, ending the life of an animal." So my question is do religious followers consider animal abuse a sin and if so how is it considered sin if the belief system places the life of an animal below that of human life? I am not trying to be rude I am just trying to understand how religion views animal abuse, and which bible passages/word of God they base it upon.

Blind people cannot see anything .
Deaf people cannot hear music
Numb people cannot feel things
Mute people cannot speak
Its not wonder a deadened spirit cannot realize God

The Lord healed the blind.. the deaf.. the lame... the mute... those who were bound by demons and satan...
Then he went about teaching them the words of life.
He not only healed.. he fed them of the bread of life and the living water...
This totally restores the whole person.

What are these christians? A bunch of Madpeople? Giving their lives for something that the deaf, blind, mute, insensitive, cannot substantiate?

Its because they got the right organ restored and enlivened.. the human spirit within them got filled with GOD. oh yes... They decided to believe into the name of Jesus and just as simple as that.. received satisfaction and Life from God.

How about you? Is your spirit still deadened? Still dunno what the fuss about God is yet?

My friend is atheist, but a little wary of crows crossing his path, and the 13th floor of high rises. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you take stock in any kind of superstition, doesn't that mean you believe in some sort of higher power that's doling out good and bad luck?

by means of the thumbs up/down barometer, it is easy to summate that the general concensus is pro gay marriage.
How many people here realize that this is the result of conditioning that has been imposed upon us by the media?

Because through history, humans have worshipped thousands of god, demigods and demons. Each one as valid as the next (at least to the believer). So if you claim yours is real (and that is all it is after all, a claim, there is no proof or even evidence to support this being exists) then everyone else's is too.
Right?
(just wait, I'll bet someone tries the old "but none of those other gods had a book written about him" nonsense. Shake your heads folks, There are many, far older, books of mythology that don't even mention a deity like yours.)

In no other religion, god is shown with wife, what is the reason?

CNN has been running segments on how GOD is playing a major important part in the upcoming election.. The Demmies are doing thier best to show the values they hold from thier religious beliefs, are they being sincere? or just trying to rally votes from the believers????
The majority of Americans especially the young voters are pro-life, the majority of americans are not for Gay Marraige, the enviroment the War in Iraq, economy and healthcare are all factors but VALUES each candidate holds is vitally imporatnt to the American voter.

Moses was leading the Israelites out of Egypt, God parted the Red Sea and let them pass through. Then while Pharoah's army was still in there, God allowed the water to close up and drown all the Egyptians.

One angel in heave who was watching this, went to God and said, "Father! Shall we sing and dance and celebrate?"

The story goes that God turned His head to the angel and there were huge tears rolling down God's face.

First off, what is your opinion in this topic – for, against, not sure?

Second, if the answer is “Against”, what you think about this argument: Christianity is OK with one man loving the other on platonic basis. In my understanding is the sex between two men what is forbidden. Is it OK for one man to marry the other based on platonic relationship??

I've heard many different people explain them in many different ways. I'm interested in your belief in what exactly a Wiccan, Witch and Pagan are. It seems that this termonology is often confused to the point where they are used as interchangeable words.

Also, what are the differences between Witch, Magician, Sorceror, etc?
