And Both are Praying to the Same God for protection, strength and victory....Who does God side with?

First off it is in the pure spirit of open-mindedness that I ask this:

Someone dropped off a copy of the most recent "Watchtower" and Awake at my door last week which I just finished reading...and in response I have a few questions.

I was reading the "Ethnic Harmony, Is it possible?" and I noticed that it says that the root of all racism and hate is not knowing God. My Question is, what is your stance on different religions worshiping God? (Ie: Jews, Muslims, etc). I see a lot of racism/discrimination against those who follow other religions. How do you handle opposing religious beliefs?

The Other Q? That I have is in response to the article, "Did They Really Live that Long"? In the most Recent Copy of Awake!...Is this in reference to an everlasting life in heaven or on earth and does this mean that God is reliquishing the concept of original sin from our hearts? And does this apply to all mankind or just those who are Jehovah's Witnesses?

2) Is there any other religion that you would like to practice if you ever left your religion?

3) What religion, ""Other Then Your Own"" do you like the most?

… all of its god believing people just made a few changes?

If Jews and Muslims and Christians would only back off of a small number of the things typical of themselves that others can't seem to feel comfortable with, would our combined world population seem more agreeable to all.

For example; If they'd just give up on the ideas of life after death, and heaven and hell... just those three things... wouldn't that make a difference? And, what if they just stopped all their talk about God existing and creating the world... ? I know the rest of us, all the non-believers, would be a lot happier for it.

So..does anyone else think this simple notion is worthy of consideration?

Why is the Jewish lobby so strong and dominant in Washington and why are there issues so important? Why not Darfur? where genacide is taking place at this very moment? Why are Jews so well hated throught society and around the world today? And Why
does the world stop because of the "Jewish " cause ? And why so much attention is being brought to their causes and no african causes? Is it because of their control of the economy like they have done in society past and present? And Why do they claim that God only talked to them and no one else who are they to make such a distinction? Is it because of race?Especially when the first true Jews were black and in Africa? When was Judaism taken from the the africans and aren't the Africans from North Africa the originators of Judaism
and if so why has it not been brought out?

I was baptized, received communion and confirmation but I still feel like its all B.S. The question is if all you believe is true in the end, then if I decide to believe it all once I'm on my deathbed will I still be accepted by your God and go to the heaven you all plan to go to?

upon which He would build his church. I hear so much about Paul but very little about Peter. Historically speaking, the two didn't get along very well but if you think about it, Peter was Jesus actual apostle and Paul was roaming around murdering Christians before his conversion. Why trust Paul at all?

The reason I believe agnosticism is what scientists should beleive in is because it fits more appropriatly to the scientific method. This is because unlike religion or athiesm, agnosticism keeps the existance or non-existance of god in quesion unlike athiesm or religion which jumps to conclusion about gods existance or non-existance. Therefore it opens the minds of scientists to accept discoveries that may lead to a paradigm shifts without the interference of personal bias. Anyone agree?

I know some extreme Pentecostal groups (e.g., Oneness Pentecostals) actually teach this. They say that if you don't speak in tongues, then you are not really saved. I think this is totally false. The evidence that you are saved is that you bear the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-24). Those Pentecostals who believe in this nonsense are heretics. They should not be considered true Christians.

Today the fastest growing religion in America is Islam. The fastest growing religion in Europe in Islam. Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers?
Muslims ruled Spain for about 800 years. The Muslims in Spain never used the sword to force the people to convert. Later the Christian Crusaders came to Spain and wiped out the Muslims. There was not a single Muslim in Spain who could openly give the adhan, that is the call for prayers.
Indonesia is a country that has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. The majority of people in Malaysia are Muslims. May one ask, "Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia?"
The Muslims ruled India for about a thousand years. If they wanted, they had the power of converting each and every non-Muslim of India to Islam. Today more than 80% of the population of India are non-Muslims. All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness today that the sword did not spread Islam
With which sword was Islam spread? Even if Muslims had it they could not use it to spread Islam because the Qur’an says in the following verse:
"Let there be no compulsion in religion:
Truth stands out clear from error"
[Al-Qur’an 2:256
The best reply to the misconception that Islam was spread by the sword is given by the noted historian De Lacy O’Leary in the book "Islam at the cross road" (Page 8):
"History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myth that historians have ever repeated."

When he stated all these things will come to pass before this generation passes? Did he mean the generation he was addressing? If so does that mean he lied about returning before they died, or did he do what he said he would do before they died?

After much thought about these things I have a few observations:
Having been raised Catholic, I was taught that the reason for suffering was not trusting in God or somehow not doing enough penance etc. etc. Buddhism has a whole set of beliefs that fall along the same lines in terms of the causes of suffering except that we are fully responsible for our suffering (even though I think Catholicism has the same concept just differently stated). If one is an atheist, hell is here and we can either work to change it or just live with it and die. In the end, we all suffer, we all have some different degrees of what we believe our responsibilities are in creating it and that in some ways our actions or lack thereof create a hellish existence........Does anyone else see the correlations here? I won't go into exact details but I have a situation that I've been praying about and praying about for three months. Finally it reached a breaking point where I either would have to keep trying to work this thing out or give up.
I decided to give up.
And then I felt like God was looking down at me as if though I was a quitter.
Since that day I've felt like God has been telling me to fast and pray about this situation. The only thing is, the situation is eating me up inside and it feels like I'm nearing my wits end. I honestly feel like I'm going to snap because the situation has reached a point now where I can do nothing but pray about it.
I want to know, how will I know if this is God or if this is me being deceived or worse it's my own mind playing tricks on me.
This is truly a delicate matter and I would appreciate it if only those of faith or who are at least understand of it would respond.

Granted, I don't believe in the rapture anyway but I figured it wouldn't hurt to pray just in case. You know, like Pascal's Wager for nerds.
