I won't go into exact details but I have a situation that I've been praying about and praying about for three months. Finally it reached a breaking point where I either would have to keep trying to work this thing out or give up.
I decided to give up.
And then I felt like God was looking down at me as if though I was a quitter.
Since that day I've felt like God has been telling me to fast and pray about this situation. The only thing is, the situation is eating me up inside and it feels like I'm nearing my wits end. I honestly feel like I'm going to snap because the situation has reached a point now where I can do nothing but pray about it.
I want to know, how will I know if this is God or if this is me being deceived or worse it's my own mind playing tricks on me.
This is truly a delicate matter and I would appreciate it if only those of faith or who are at least understand of it would respond.

You know what? God will let us reach our lowest point sometimes in order for us to learn to put our trust in him. I understand your question..
Pray to him..leave it with him..Then trust him..Learn to listen to God...He will work everything out..but you have to trust him.

Sometimes, God doesn' t answer our prayers they way in which we think that he should or will..But, you will see..That God always knows best and before long you will see where your prayer was answered..But, only if you put your trust and faith in him and ask according to his will..

Often we forget to bring Gods word with us when we go into private and fast and pray.

I bring my bible in with me, because it is how God speaks to me. Fast while you pray and read Gods word, make sure that you set aside as much time for this as possible and add a bit more sacrifice time to it.

Reading Gods word, and praying for understanding of the situation will help, but be prepared that the answer sometimes is way different than what we were looking for.

Case in point, My husband was called upon to lead a Wednesday night service. His business is in a very busy season right now, and some machines are being fussy and not working properly. Add to that, he has to be out of town for three days the weekend before the service.
You can imagine that he was feeling overwhelmed.

The answer that he received to this dilemma was not the one he was looking for.
He wanted his machines to function properly, so he could get the work out that he promised. God sent a missionary that needed Wednesday night to talk about his mission work.
So, now my husband can concentrate on his business and getting the machines back in order.
He wanted to lead the study on Wednesday, but God had other plans.

You haven't given much to go on, but let me say that God won't look down on you, He isn't like that.
Christlike behavior, part of it, is to encourage, to edify each other. So, if that is Christlike, then that is what Christ ..is like.

Some situations we really can do nothing about.
Sometimes we keep trying the same things, and expecting a different result each time we try what never worked before.
And sometimes, the answer is so unbelievably simple, we'de never see it ourselves.
Clearly you feel an amount of responsibility for this situation.
But can it be it's something that you really aren't responsible for?
If you want, email me. If I can, I'll try to help.

If you pray to God about something that is not supposed to happen, he will make it not happen, rather he will help you try and learn a lesson from it. If you keep resisting this lesson, and keep praying for what is not meant to be, then you are not accepting his help. Pray now that you may learn a lesson from your situation, and I suspect you will find your mind at ease, and you will be enlightened to a new idea. Or, if that thing was meant to be, it will finally happen, as God has seen that you want what is right. Good luck!

Frist off it goes agnist scripture it's not of God. I'm sure you are aware of this, but it's importante enough to say anyway. If it dosn't go agnist scripture look for some things to confirm it. God often use circumstancesand your chruch (or other people of faith whom you respect and trust to answer with wisdom). in addtion to scripture and prayer. I don't know if you have a close christian friend you are comfortable with sharing this with. If you do talk to him and see what he thinks. If you don't have anyone I would be willing to try and help. Somebody who truely knows you would be better though. I whish there was a clear cut answer, but God wants relationship with us and if he gave us easy yes no answers we would be very likely to neglect him exept when looking for magic 8 ball answers. I pray God will hold you close as you work though this.

God will always answer every prayer. It may not be the answer you want and it may be one of those things that takes a while to get answered. But you've just got to keep trusting in him to do the right thing. Just keep praying and trusting. I'm happy to see that there's someone else who really values the power of prayer.

Hi Brian: It sounds to me like you are in need of help. If you have not been able to resolve things with prayer, then you need to talk to a professional Christian Counsellor. You can be sure that The Lord does not want to to be in this turmoil all by yourself. You may need another person's perspective.
I doubt that you will get it on R & S.
Gal 6:2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

If you feel looked down upon by God, then it isn't God. You are probably just reaching the point where He wants you to be, where you are totally ready to accept His answer and do it His way. This is the time to continue to press in.

Don't fall the person who says "God helps those who help themselves." That is not biblical. God helps those who seek Him and abide by His Word.

Sometimes we have a hard time listening, or agreeing with what God wants us to do.
I suggest fasting, and prayer. Usually when you go with God's will there is a sense of peace that accompanies it, the anxiety lessens, and you'll know its His will. If you feel uneasy about it after, then you know it wasn't. The hardest part of following what God wants us to do, is actually ignoring our basic instincts and logic. I hope you find peace in your decisions

Okay. So you stumbled. That's okay. The Lord said that He would be there for you when you stumbled.

What does the Bible say about God?
Deuteronomy 32

1 Listen, O heavens, and I will speak;
hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2 Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.

3 I will proclaim the name of the LORD.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!

4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he.

Does God keep His word?
Numbers 12
6 he said, "Listen to my words:
"When a prophet of the LORD is among you,
I reveal myself to him in visions,
I speak to him in dreams.

And so we can be sure that God will give us what He wants us to know. What we have to do is trust Him in all things.

That is my advice to you.

Peace to you in Christ Jesus.
