… all of its god believing people just made a few changes?

If Jews and Muslims and Christians would only back off of a small number of the things typical of themselves that others can't seem to feel comfortable with, would our combined world population seem more agreeable to all.

For example; If they'd just give up on the ideas of life after death, and heaven and hell... just those three things... wouldn't that make a difference? And, what if they just stopped all their talk about God existing and creating the world... ? I know the rest of us, all the non-believers, would be a lot happier for it.

So..does anyone else think this simple notion is worthy of consideration?

I'm just asking for voluntary submission... you know ... like, because it would be an easier solution for everyone all around.

I don't care what anyone's ideas are, as long as they keep them to themselves. That would solve a lot of problems.

I think the world would be a nicer place if the minority non-God believing people would back off of a number of things typical of themselves that we others of the vast majority consisting of believers cant seem to feel comfortable with.

For example if atheists would learn commonsense & just give up trying 2 spread nonsense that there is no life after death or that there is no heaven or hell. I mean people are not that stupid & no believer will ever change from having a chance with God to having no chance at anything at all.

And if they'd just give up the idea of there being no God, & understand that life is just too complex & singularly creative 2 have happen by chance, I know that the rest of us, the believers, would be a lot happier for it. And God would be too.
So...does anyone else think this simple notion is worthy of consideration.

The world could be a nicer place if we were all robots.
No, we're living, breathing human beings with our own opinions and beliefs.

We are all so different, so every person will have a different variety of things they find uncomfortable, yet that are typical for others. It's too arbitrary to think that the subject of life after death would make a key difference for a more agreeable world. There are many more issues to consider for voluntary submission to silence. And if we start to fall silent on each issue one by one, eventually, we will either go nuts or coexist with one another submissively. That is not a vision of a "nicer" world.

So, we should give up all our beliefs, close our eyes to the truth, live in denial in order to make you 'feel' better?...

We should turn our backs on God so that those living in sin won't have to deal with their conscience?

We should do away with the laws so then we can't be accused of breaking them?

We aren't Christians 'because' it feels better, we too have desires like everyone else, but, we know what is best for our souls. We know we will continue on into eternity, and we know you get two choices, heaven or hell...

We can do what 'feels' good, pursue our fleshly, sinful desires for a moment while here on earth and spend forever in a dreadful place, or, we can live as God intended and be blessed more than we can ever imagine for all eternity.

You too have a religion, but yours is of the world. It says in the Bible that satan is the ruler of this world. He wants you to do what 'feels' good even though it rots your soul...

As Christians, we can't "give up on the ideas of life after death, and heaven and hell..." We believe God, He tells us these things are true, He does not lie...

Then we would be like you a non believer, we would have no faith. So no, living in denial of the obvious truth would serve no purpose but to make you people feel more "comfortable" for the short term, Quite frankly it is time the Christians in this nation get over the PC stances of tolerance, indifferance and multiculturalism and get back to our commission which is to "go into all the world and tell the good news" hide your head in the sand if you want, the truth will stand when all else falls.

So what you're saying is - the world would be a better place if we had LESS FREEDOM and more oppression.

Let's restrict what people can and can't believe in. So that everyone can be happy.

Sorry no.

People who use God as a weapon will just find some other reason to be cruel. Racism. Sexism. Genocide. There are a million reasons to be mean to one another.

I'm agnostic but back when I did religious research, did you know that many scholars believe that the notion of being born again was actually referring to reincarnation? Not this mystical... "born-again" idea that we know it today.

If reincarnation was the current belief in the Abrahamic religions, think how MUCH the landscape of Christianity would change. There would be no hellfire and brimstone speeches, no threatening of hell, no accusing others of not being good enough for heaven...

And for those wondering, the ideas of both reincarnation and heaven CAN co-exist. A lot of gnostics feel you reincarnate until you learn all your life's lessons and then you go "home".

I guess those nasty Christians and Jews should stop flying planes into buildings, and strapping bombs onto thier kids to blow up muslim kids, and murdering and raping denominations of their own sect, oh! Wait a minute, it's the muslims that are doing all that.
The only other religion in the world that killed people by the thousands for not believeing the way they do was the Roman Catholic Church.

This is not a really good question simply because if we are following God the way we are supposed to then He instructs us to speak up and express our beliefs. If we are persecuted then He will reward us for it in the end. Christians are never supposed to stifle what they believe because they are to stay strong regardless of what the sinful world around them thinks. We are not doing our jobs here on earth as christians if we do not try to witness. This is not people being difficult on purpose they are just trying to follow their instructions given to them in the bible. I admit I do not know much about the Jewish and Muslim religions but I do know what my duty is according to the bible and if God gives me a chance to witness then that's what I need to do. Of course you would be happier if we all were silent because apparently you think of this often and are uncomfortable with it all. Us Christians are uncomfortable with oblivion and all the horror that is going on in the world but the nonbelievers are not helping us out. Does it not mean anything to you how many Christians have been persecuted for their beliefs? The fact that many have literally given their lives for Him says nothing to you about how strong our beliefs are?

The problem with that is that Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindu, other are Jews, Chrsitians, Muslims, etc because of the little things that they believe. I know that I wouldn't have survived the last three years with out my God. If I stopped talking and reflecting about it, then I'd stop being a christian. The very three things you think we should stop talking about are the things that define what religion we are. I'd go to jail before I would stop praying.

No you can't tell people to control there ideas and just stop believing what they do. I would be a lot happier if people stopped trying to make me change my beliefs. They had a chance to help me see thing their way when I was younger and failed so give up. This world would be a better place if TOLERANCE was practiced more often.
