The Vineyard is a diverse movement. It has it's more controversial elements and its more cautious, balanced elements. I do commend them for the stand they took against the extremes associated with the "Toronto blessing," causing John Arnot and the Toronto Airport Church to go independent. I also think John Wimber was inaccurately and unfairly criticized in Dave Hunt's books some years ago. I like Dave but disagree with him about Wimber. I also know that there have been an unusually high number of medically verified miracles associated with Wimber and the Vineyard. I do think the movement as a whole has an imbalanced obsession with signs and wonders, and participants tend to be imprudent in their approach to verbalized spiritual gifts, but I think overall they are doing a good work.
