For any Christian who has slandered Christianity you should be deeply ashamed. Here's what our holy Prophet pbuh said:

Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’ houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God’s covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected.

IT is disgusting how the Vatican released a statement today making excuses for the pedophiles in their ranks. Saying other institutions have problems of their own. Even according to their own research 12% of Catholic priests have abused a child at one point or another. So if you have 10 priests in a room statistically one is a child molester.

Why is it that they are somewhat looked down upon by more mainstream Christian religions? This is asked seriously, although I don't mind humorous answers.

If a women says that she is pregnant because "The Lord" inseminated her with Jesus?

If a killer ever killed a family, and said that God told him to do it?

Unless you actually have a god talk to you personally, how could you ever think one of these people are lying or are crazy? And since religion has nothing to do with common sense, or sanity, please do not use any for your answer.

Pick the group that you most often are set up against. So most likely for Christians it will be atheists, for atheists it will be Christians, etc. If there's not one in particular, just choose one.

Now:
1. Say something nice about that group. Not condensending or insulting, just nice.
2. Say what really bothers you about this group sometimes. Try not to result to name calling.

Please do both. Not just fluffy answers, but serious criticisms too.

Go at it!

My father told me that it was holy herb and if was alright that I smoke it. He smokes sticky dank and kush himself. Anybody in the church as an adult or with parent promission is allowed to smoke in the church loungue as well as use black and mile apple and blueberries cigars. What is the big deal about weed?

....and God had to "make up" a woman solely for Adam's satisfaction, out of a rib,

then how do you explain the rest of the female animals in the animal kingdom?
or were they created after Eve?
And if they existed BEFORE Eve, wasn't it obvious Eve had to exist at the same time they did?

It seems as though each question I pose to Christians I get a reply that side-steps my question. For instance, when asking for a literal description of a communication from God, no one can tell me anything other than "you just feel it." How does that answer my question?

Another example... I asked how you would know if God was trying to talk to you if you had never heard of God. I'm getting answers like..."God would send someone to make sure you knew about him." That does NOT answer my question.

At least atheists can give me concrete evidence and literal descriptions of their arguments.

While I am NOT an atheist, I respect them because they are simply believing what they think is believable, and not believing what you Christians cannot prove.

I'm not even asking for proof. I'm just asking for a reasonable explanation.

Are there any Christians out there that can give me better answers to my questions other than "you just feel it"? If so, please email me asap!

Is it ok to go to a non-catholic church from time to time.
I have found that some evangelical churches are very sincere and I do like the quality of the music.

In some cases the worship music will last for 30 minutes and it is very relective and helps focus on God.

Only issue I can see is with the sermon and possibility that the Pastor will use his own experience to make "truths" out of his interpretation of the bible.

Does anyone think it would be wrong to go or would it be better to stick to the catholic groups.

It may be a good way to encourage people to think a little more as well. Certainly as dialogue develops, I am not saying that I would go with the purpose of "enlightening" or "converting" people.

What do you think -

Is there really a physical world or is it all emulated in the mind? IF all that we sense is processed within the mind then could in theory could anything be possible? What are the laws of physics? Can they ever be cracked? If you are born blind, deaf, mute, cant smell, cant taste, cant feel... how do you explain your existance?

As they say... that logical thinking is handled on the left side of the brain while creative thinking is on the right... could religion and science basically just be a conflict between the 2 sides?

Should we just live our happy "physical" little lives without bothering to know who, where, when, how, what is this place that we call life. Because in 100+ years from now its not going to matter because we all should be dead "in theory"?

PS: WOW! thats some deep sh*t. Need to take a breather.. but yea... opinions are certainly welcome...

The KJV Bible is known for being comprised of 66 books. The old testament has 39 books and the new testament 27books yet no way in the old testament the words christ and christian can be found. In the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John the word Christians is not found. Never in scripture we read where Immanuel (they called Jesus) ever called his disciples, apostles or followers Christians. In Bible college I was told that in the book of acts chapter 11:26 is where it is mentioned that the disciples were first called Christians. My question is by whom and why? If so called Christians were to study the etymology of the word Christ and learn that it derived from the Greek Christos which derived from the Hindu Krishna would have second thought of why they were never educated by their Pastors or television evangelists about their savior is of Greek gentile name and they are called after such title as Christians. Unfortunately, Christians are often taught by hear say not study.
